I have a friend who is cleaning out a family estate. I asked her to be on the lookout for vintage Christmas for me as she sorted through the house. I stopped by the other day to see what she had accumulated for me to look at.
Santa is looking out for me once again. This is one of my favorite holiday hauls...one for the record books in terms of what I hunt for. I ended up buying 3 boxes of goodies.
A vintage Santa and two strands of the LARGEST variety of mercury glass garland that I have ever seen.
8 boxes of tiny ornaments with the mesh netting around them.
After my collection challenge post the other day on mercury glass garland, I was thrilled with this find. 2 strands of figural silver glass garlands, 2 strands of turquoise garlands
in original wrapper, 2 strands of figural garlands in original wrapper
and 3 strands of hot pink!
2 boxes of wonderful embellished ornaments.
Enough tiny mica house ornaments for a small village (marked Japan on bottom).
A vintage light up angel topper in original box.
Vintage Reindeer. Including one in pink.
I often find old packages of the icicles that people used to decorate their trees with. I have never found them in PINK!
Remember collection challenge #118 on mica birds? A nest full has flown my way!
2 packages of flocked snowflake garland, jingle bells and metal icicles.
Santa on skis and in pitcher form.
A
tiny felt stocking for my collection.
An adorable netting angel and a bunch of colorful reflectors.
Vintage bird ornaments that needs some TLC. Missing tails and wings.
Two light up angel tree toppers.
What fun finds. It was as if I wrote a list to Santa and he gave me everything on my list. I think the only thing he left out was a blow mold Santa for my collection.
He still did really good tho. Thanks Santa.
Happy Day.

So cute, I love the Santa and little cute angels with the lights. I need to visit you and go estate and garage sale shopping!!

You must be on Santa's "Good List". I know I am too considering how much Christmas I've accumulated over the years :-)Even a nest of mica birds flew your way! How lucky.
Sigh......it's not even Halloween yet and I'm thinking of all my vintage Christmas stuff to haul out after looking at your post!
Thanks for sharing you lucky gal!!

Okay, I just give up......it's just unreal what you find out there. I don't even think you could find that much back east. I am your most disgusted admirer, yet I still love you. It just hurts......;o)
Love ya'

Oh my gawd.......I did not prepare myself enough for this. That coy look on Santa's face was enough to make me shake in my chair. I cannot pick out just one thing....this is absolutely amazing. Do you actually hang your glass garland? I am in such awe...thank you for sharing this joy. It is so beautiful I revisited it twice...smiles...Renee

Goodness gracious. I'm on the floor. I rarely find those lantern holiday bulbs. I have 5 of them and it's taken years to accumulate them. Seriously amazing holiday goodness. Totally jealous.
