I mentioned in yesterday's post that Friday was better than Thursday (and Thursday was good). I had signed up for the Friday sale the night before within minutes of the address going live on the internet. I was still number 75! When I got to the sale on Friday morning they lined up the first 25 on the list to get in the door. Those lucky souls entered, but the door was left open with no one watching it. We were like lemmings..one after another we all followed each other thru the open doorway. I bet 70 people were through the door before the woman running the sale noticed and screamed for the door to be shut. I was a lemming, I admit it...but I was in the door with the first wave!
Here are the goodies from both Friday and Saturday.
The Friday sale was wonderful for vintage Christmas. Unfortunately the prices were crazy high. There were ebay printouts scattered here and there that gave the "value" to the items for sale. I still found some good treasures at decent prices...I just had to hunt a bit for them.
I found four of these ornament trees. I have found one previously, but only that one time. They are about 15 inches high and the ornaments are supposed to be loaded all the way to the top so the wire does not show. I have enough ornaments in my stash that this is an easy, easy fix.
Vintage bottle brush trees and putz style houses.
Pixies that are perfect for holiday crafting. I love the ears.
Vintage elves, more deer, a huge amount of Christmas reflectors, pink angel hair and a set of mini Santa mugs.
A vintage jewelery box, empty card box (graphics) and two packages of turquoise garland.
I spent two hours at the sale on Friday. I gathered and checked out and ran my goodies out to the car. I then went back in for one more look...and found more.
A cute little Snowman pick, a celluloid deer and a tiny pinecone elf.
An adorable donkey vase (Rempel?).
A vintage swim cap for my collection. This one is really brittle and I dare not model it. I was smitten by the flower and sequin detail that would frame your cheekbones.
A bird figure for my bird bathroom and a tiny plastic birdbath.
Some sort of state game. It is dated 1925. I liked the game pieces that came with it. It looks confusing.
I would have no idea how to play it.
I got this great green child's chair at the Saturday sale as well as the tiny turquoise vase. The morning glory jar was found on Friday.
This photo of the child is mounted on heavy wood and is about 14 inches tall.
Three days in a row with good sales! I am has happy as these little elves I found. Even the ball of twine made my day!
Happy day!

I'm just ecstatic for you!! If I can't have that stuff, I'm glad you got it! How lucky you are.....I would feel like one of those happy little elves too. Looks like a few of my elves ran off up that way LOL. Pink Angel hair? Swim cap, twine, birds, Easter chicks, deer and more!! It was like custom made sales just for you.
Glad you made haul this weekend :-)
Thanks for sharing!

Laurie, you sniff out the best sales in the country! I think all vintage Christmas must be in OR so there isn't any left in MN!

And i thought you were amazing with that darling shelf yesterday. Another fabulous haul. You'd be proud. I scouted out an estate sale near emma's band competition. I didn't do nearly as well, but I stuffed a box full of vintage Christmas at half off.

I am sitting here with my jaw on the floor. What an amazing haul. Love the bottle brush trees and putz houses and that little birdie figurine is so sweet. Well done - high five!!

Score! I would have been a lemming too! I found two of the ornament trees this year, in original shiny brute boxes to boot! I love the little chair and mounted photo!

Great haul, I love the first pic with it all lined up so neat. I could decorate a room with just that haul! Also loved your black cat post from the other day. Quite the impressive collection! I added a few more to my collection this year, including a cute chair my sis painted for me. I will have to do a post!

It was good to see you at the sale. You got some great things...I was not willing to pay the prices. They were just too high for me to try to resell. Only spent $8.

Another great "SCORE" for Laurie!!
My favorite is the middle tray of goodies in the big picture. I would be happpy to find just one of the items you found but YOU found a table full.
You GO girl!!!

Great finds! I also went to that "OMG! where-did-they-get-their-prices" sale...cute stuff but redunculous prices!!! Note to self..never go to their sales again!! I actually debated not posting this but then I thought, what the heck, if I am banned it's no loss to me!!! Let them sell it all on ebay!

Of course Friday was better - there was a bathing cap! Love all those houses and bottle brush trees, and I am sure I am not the only one who finds the whole eBay printout-thing irritating. Then put it on eBay! It's not as easy as it looks.

I just don't understand it! LOL You have CRAZY good luck I guess is the only explanation! Like Diane said, there seems to be no vintage x-mas left in MN. The last two estate sales I went to were loaded with every other cute vintage thing you could imagine...but not a single x-mas item.
Happy for you!

Hi Laurie,
What fabulous finds again!! I found one of those ornament trees a few years ago and one of the long topper ornaments goes on top. Mine was pink and complete but unfortunately my pink topper broke but I will find another one someday. I am always jealous that you find all those reflectors. Always love your finds!!

It's a given that I love Christmas decorations. You did very well especially if the prices were unreasonable for most items. What really caught my eye was the morning glory jar. My only find this weekend was a bottle for rattlesnake beer for a quarter. It will be added to my Halloween decorations. Sheryl

I too get a little nutty about the ebay print outs and agree with Barbara. Thrift stores do it as well which makes me wonder why I'm shopping in the thrift store when I could be online... :-)
Two hours at one sale! Those of you in line after number 25 sound like kids sneaking into the movies ... I would have done the same thing!

Lucky lady - 3 days of great sales! There never seems to be great estate sales in my neck of the woods. Unless they are in auction format.
