It is finally raining after three months without it. I hit a great estate sale today, but am going to wait to take photos. I hit one sale yesterday (Thursday) and did fairly well. Here are my goodies.
I am smitten with this old shelf that I got. I am determined to find a spot for it in my house. I love the original paint colors and the scallop details. It is about 4 foot wide.
Vintage Santa mini mugs, a blow mold candle and ornaments.
A great old leather briefcase with embossed floral design.
Boxes of vintage ornaments. They always look more impressive when stacked up high.
I happened to glance in one of the boxes of ornaments that had a clear cellophane window. Crazy random stuff in with the ornaments. A broken zipper, a green dice, a i.d card, a teeny toy lantern and some paper cutouts. You just never know what a box holds.
I always like to find a bag like this at an estate sale full of mercury glass garland. The price was right and I had no idea how many strands were inside.
Hooray! 8 strands of varying lengths.
Thursday was a good day in estate sale land. Friday was better...despite high prices and a door stampede...post coming soon.

Estate Sale Thurs? Not too many down this way. Love that scalloped shelf too. Looks like you did pretty good with the vintage Christmas stuff. Always fun to find random things in boxes you haul home. Rain coming our way this weekend.Glad you had a good day! Can't wait to see your pics.
Thanks for sharing :-)

That shelf is absolutely FANTASTIC!! Please share where this item ends up in your home. Another great stash, but that shelf is truly amazing. It's pouring rain this Saturday morning and we're suppose to spend it outside at an-all day Marching band competition. Yippee!!

Cannot imagine that Friday was better! LOVE that shelf, and if it were mine, I would be displaying dollhouse furniture on it. But I am sure you can find SOMETHING to display on it.

I love finding those little unexpected things. I guess that's why I'm so taken with "poke sacks". Can't wait to hear about Friday. I'm guessing maybe it was the one on NE 28th? The pictures looked amazing so I can imagine there was a stampede!

Oh, great now we have to endure your fabulous finds three days a week? Kidding! Lucky you once again. ANd, if this is a sign of what you found that you didn't post yet - WOW!
Lots of sales this weekend, but I have a numbing headache and am happy to be in my own home. Hopefully, there will be some junk out there next weekend with my name on it.
I like the reflection of you in an old Shiny Brite. Seems like it out to be on your Facebook page or Business card.

What a cute shelf. I'm sure that someday we will see a Magpie Ethel creation with a tiny lantern. What a fun discovery. I usually find only ornament hangers in boxes of ornaments. Sheryl
