Finally, finally hit an estate sale today. Still not much out there to choose from, but I needed that fix today. I hit one sale half an hour after it opened. A huge line snaked out front of people waiting to get in. I decided to run a couple of errands first and returned an hour later to find no line.
Was not an amazing sale and the prices on some stuff were high. I found enough to make my trip worthwhile.
Satin balls in pink and white perfect for crafting. I also found a BIG bag of vintage plastic flowers which are great to take apart for crafting.
The bag with the flowers also held some plastic strawberries. Was also happy to find a bag of old whistles.
Some fun Easter picks and chenille chicks (all in one grab bag of Easter).
Foil letters from a old holiday banner and some gold ornaments.
A bag of old plastic pink doilies was my favorite find of the day.

I think you did great! I haven't been for awhile to an estate sale. Maybe tomorrow as there are 2 in the neighborhood!
How do I follow you???
Happy New Year!
Warmly,
deb

Awesome! I have never been to an Estate Sale :(
One day, I hope to.
Love those old Easter chicks! They bring back such memories... we always had those in our baskets of candy.

How lucky to find Easter goodies. I'm in the mood to venture to my favorite antique mall. Perhaps after skating.

Glad you got your fix. I went junking yesterday and had no business buying anything....but of course I did.
Love the little chickies..wouldn't a jar of them be cute?

I love plastic flowers - they feel all waxy and have a weird smell to them, but I love 'em!
I spotted an Estate Sale on Craigslist tomorrow. I can see an Irmi lamp on the table and I WANT IT. :)

Did you make it to the one at NE 131st and Fremont? At 4:00pm they still had some Shiny Brites, two big blow-mold Christmas candles, a big sack of plastic flowers, birthday candles in boxes I have not seen before... I can't think of what else but a few things that made me think of you. I got some sewing trims and might stop back on Sunday to see what is left. They said there were buttons but gone by the time I could get there.

I stopped at a garage sale today while out walking. There was no one there because the newspaper didn't print their add. Too bad for them but lucky for me. I hit the Christmas jackpot! 16 glass bulbs, 26 metal people doing assorted winter activities, 6 vintage bottle brush trees (my first "offical" vintage ones)and 3 santa heads that I believe are stockings, there is a zipper on the hat. All for $1.50!!!
I was so excited.

Lucky you! It has been dead in Vancouver. I am itching for a fix lol. What are you going to do with the plastic dollies. I picked up a box of them in several sizes a year or so back thinking I could do something wonderful with them but alas they still sit. I am stumped :(

I love the old banner letters with their attached bells. The earliest the sales (rummage for me) start is in April. The estate sales are mainly during the week while I'm at work. Glad you had fun.
