When I sit in my kitchen nook eating my morning cereal, I face a built in hutch and gaze upon bunny land.
My chicks live together. My bunnies live together. Safety in numbers.
I am always amazed at all the different shapes, sizes and materials these little bunnies come in.
I love these little fellows all lined up.

More Easter fun. Here is my mantle.
I love vintage Easter paper decorations and group them together.
The top of my china hutch houses old candy boxes and an assortment of Easter bunnies.

On spring break this week, but the Easter decorations are out. I love to decorate for Easter as I really love the pastel colors and the welcome to spring.
I don't think I have ever passed by a vintage honeycomb egg. The old plastic carts are estate sale found.
I tend to segregate my decorations. Chicks and Ducks.
I have more chicks that live here. I have no shortage of chicks.
With St. Patty's day approaching this next weekend, I thought it timely to show my collection for that holiday. I think everything I have is estate sale found and has been picked up over the past few years. I decorate for the holiday and I do have some Irish blood in me!

An assortment of cardboard figures. The one on the left with the Santa beard was newly found this past weekend. I did not realize he was in my pile of goodies until I got home..then he magically appeared!
St. Patrick's Day party hats

This foil hat I believe to be a candy container. The top comes off and it is hollow inside.
Vintage Erin Go Bragh Shamrocks. The phrase means "Ireland forever" in Gaelic.
Pipes are quite the symbol for the day. I think these may be vases?
One is Relpo and the other has what I believe is the original ten cent price on the bottom.
Since I do quite a bit of St. Patty's day crafting I have also picked up quite a few smaller items with the pipe motif.
I don't think I have ever mailed a St. Patty's day card to anyone. Evidently it was a popular thing to do at one point. I have a good assortment of them.
This card made me smile.

Shamrocks made out of bump chenille were quite popular. These are all vintage and found at various sales.

I have quite an assortment of vintage stickers and seals. The bottom right cards are place cards, when you fold them the shamrock pops up.

If you see me out and about on St. Patty's Day I may be wearing my vintage corsage. I also will be wearing green so don't even try and pinch me!

I recently won this pine-cone chick on Ebay. I felt sorry for him. He had seen better days and needed a little Magpie Ethel magic.
Usually, when I do a repair I know exactly what I want to do. This chick had a mind of his own. I think he was trying to discover a new direction in life. At first he insisted on the life of a pirate.
I think this choice was because he arrived with one google eye and thought the eye patch would be a good fix.
I talked him out of the life of a pirate, but then he talked about going off to join the circus. I am not sure why he found this lifestyle attractive. Perhaps the red clown nose would camouflage his rather tattered beak.
Finally, after a little prodding, I persuaded him to to just be a chick. A cute chick that would live with my Easter goodies.
I think he made the right choice and agreed to be decked out in Easter finery.
He came to the right home...happy day!

I went yesterday and signed up for today's sale. I was there when the list went out and was number 6 to get in the door today. A VERY good number, but unfortunately, only a mediocre sale.
The giant wooden 50 was in a window and hidden by a curtain. I noticed it when I was walking to the sale. It is glittery. I turn 50 in a couple of years, so it may serve me well then.
A cute elf stocking (unused) and some mercury glass garland. The glass garland is a shape that I don't run across often, and I got two strands of it. Also a few loose smaller Christmas ornaments.
A old plastic Santa that has some condition issues...primarily a hole on the top of his head. He will look great lumped together with my other vintage Santas during the holidays.
I was glad that I was number six to get in the door and did not end up with a higher number. In and out with a few treasures and on with my day.
I am off to San Francisco later this week and am planning to hit the Alameda Flea market while I am there. Hoping..really hoping, for some fun treasures to find.
This little spun head cupid looks VERY determined to find that special Valentine.
I have a feeling this little fellow will have no problem finding the right target. I love his little arrow. (actually a vintage red cocktail pick with a heart added at one end) His hat and green heart and mesh wings are also original to the head. I am always amazed how many types of spun heads were manufactured.
Cupid and a few other friends are headed to Etsy. That arrow is ready to zing your way!
