The beginning of a new year...full of hope, dreams and new resolutions. May 2008 be everything that you want it to be.
My kids are spending the night at my parents which is their New Year tradition. I know my head will hit the pillow long before 12 o'clock. (I'm not much of a night owl).

At an estate sale a few years ago I found the cutest rubber Santa squeaky toy. The most charming face and happy look...unfortunately he had been stored in a hot attic and the soft rubber had turned to stone. No more squeaking for this Santa. I couldn't pass him up tho...just didn't know what I would do with him!
He lived for awhile in a plastic bin knowing somehow I would find him the perfect home.
This is where he ended up - on a kitschy vintage style wreath with other old holiday knick-knacks. 
You know it is the holiday season when I drag my Santa collection out to decorate the front porch. I absolutely love these guys...I have been collecting them for 5 or 6 years now and love being known as "the Santa house" in the neighborhood. 
I have 20 of the light-up variety and no duplications. In years past I plugged them in individually but it has become too time consuming (and with an old house like ours, it blew the circuit often). I now resort to a spotlight. My FAVORITE guy is the one with the pointy hat in the front that hangs by his hat. Ho, ho, ho....
