I have four empty bins of Halloween. It is now time for a little show and tell. I have collected some great Halloween stuff over the years...my house is decked out in all its orange and black glory!
I made this banner. I found all the letters in a bunch of junk at an estate sale. Luckily they were all there...they are glittered in old silver glitter. I added the fringe and it hangs in my dining room each year. There is a reproduction one that is very similar to this one...but I made mine first!
My army of vintage candles. I pick them up whenever I find them. I got the large witch this past year at Goodwill for 99 cents. The cashier didn't understand why I was buying this old candle that had the hat half melted down.
I love the little witch and her black cat friend. Another estate sale purchase. They initially came from John's Market (now closed) I know this because this in on the back.
I guess they didn't want anyone to run off with the cat or witch. The majority of the paper honeycomb balls on the top of the chest are vintage. I love the orange candles on either side of the cabinet. They were a $2.99 find a couple of years ago at Goodwill. They were unused in the original box. I think a church must have cleaned out candle stock as Goodwill had quite a few boxes of candles. I think they were probably used on the altar of a church as they are so long. I kick myself for only buying ONE box!
Coffee table display. The rocks with words are from Oriental Trading. Jack and Jill magazine is from 1966.
Horrible picture. Wanted to show the paper honeycombs hanging in the front window and my vintage plastic pumpkin with his bouquet of bump chenille flowers.
Love this wire wreath. I change the cards with the season usually using vintage ones. I hang Christmas corsages during the holidays.
This was a great project. I found a roll of old crepe paper with a great owl graphic. I got an old frame (this one is actually plastic) and spray painted it gray. Spray mounted the crepe paper on a piece of foam core, added the frame and instant spooky art.
Top of my china hutch has this spooky scene. I have collected alot of old candy boxes (a couple are specific Halloween graphics). I love the scary handmade witch with her molded plastic face.
China hutch with all the old Gurley candles as well as some vintage paper items.
A collection of cats. The cat on top of the plate stand is actually an old paper hat.
Thanks for letting me share, and congrats to making it to the end of my longest post EVER. May it inspire you with your Halloween decor! Happy orange and black to you....
