NO not that kind of reputation! A reputation for loving all vintage Christmas stuff. It is the best kind of reputation to have as people call me and ask if I would be interested in something. I am almost always interested. Or I come home from errands and find goodies on my back step. How can that not make one happy?
Last week I got a call asking if I wanted to go through an Aunt's Christmas decorations that had been stored in the attic for awhile. Wasn't the treasure trove I hoped for, but I got a few things.
Love the little porcelain head. Her body has disintegrated, but I know that I can give her some sort of new life.
Today I got a phone call asking if I wanted some old Christmas ornaments that once belonged to a mother-in-law. Bingo! Some came without the tops, but I have extras I can put on if need be.
Lots of figural ones. These are my favorites.
I love the little gold teapot with the handle at the top of the photo. I also really like the old light bulb shaped like a Chinese lantern with the tassel on the bottom...how cool is that?
Not a bad reputation to have....
That was a good lot of stuff and all for free! I love the japanese lantern ornie! xo, suzy

I love that lantern, too. (Good thing you & me & Suzy don't all live in the same neighborhood. I like all of Suzy's stuff, too.) I'm always amazed that the handles on those teapot ornaments survive - they must be a lot tougher than they look!
