So today I am out driving doing a few errands. The sun is shining, my radio is playing a good tune and all is good in my world. La de da de da...I pulled over to stop at a nearby shop, got out of the car and glanced back at the fairly busy street I was on. Hmmmm, there is something white blowing in the wind and cars are running over it here and there. Is that some vintage floral pattern I see? I wait for the traffic to clear and grab the fabric, BINGO! It is a vintage floral tablecloth is fairly good condition. I toss it in the trunk and after a trip thru the washing machine it is as good as new. What a perfect thing for me to find on the street!
Will add it to my collection of vintage tablecloths. What a happy day!
Wow!! What a great story.

I can't believe it!! You were the child who seemed to always find money on the sidewalk - even money on the ski slope. Now it's tablecloths in the street. Where will it all end!!

I have a dishtowel that matches it, but I didn't find it in traffic. That's about the most amazing thing I've ever heard.

That is a crazy great story of a vintage find! I was almost afraid you were gonna say it was a white dog or cat.
I have the same fabric - mine was a tablecloth that was torn/beat up so I had to cut it to make some items.
Have to tell you that I was at the Salvation army the other day and I found some vintage Putz large buildings (actually I don't know if they are Putz but they are old)...they don't look so good, I know I can make 'em better...but some still have the red cellaphane on the windows (no kid poked them out - lol.)
