With the month of February quickly approaching, I figured it was time dig out my Valentine storage bin and transform my house with a little pink and red magic.
My little wire tree that I decorate with vintage Valentines.
A couple of empty vintage Valentine boxes with adorable graphics. I don't find these very often, so I snap them up when I do!
My latest little Valentine creation...a little gal swinging on a heart made of pink vintage glass garland. She is living amongst my Valentine decor until she goes to a new home (she is listed on Etsy).
The top of my china hutch is home to old candy boxes, some of my little valentine gals (listed in my Etsy shop) and jars of pink and red candies and conversation hearts. I continually have to refill the jars as my teen son doesn't realize they are part of a DISPLAY, and not for his consumption.
I have shown this wreath before during Christmas, but here it is with vintage Valentine cards. This is an easy way to display some of those treasured cards! (It was a Smith and Hawken purchase a few years ago)
I am a sucker for old craft magazines. Pack-O-Fun is from Feb 1970 and Play Mate from Feb 1951. I love the cover art on the Play Mate. I display them out on my coffee table for my reading pleasure.
My neighbors also know Valentine's Day is approaching when they glance at my front window. I hang a huge Styrofoam pink heart in the window and have two glittered Styrofoam urns full of valentine sparkle and bling. The heart and the urns were estate sale finds a few years ago. (please ignore the window glare!)
Now that the decorations are pretty much up I need to get started on making my valentines!
Laurie, you have outdone yourself! Your Valentine decorations and creations are so fabulous!!!!~~~XXOO, Beth
