For the FIRST time this summer my two kids are both in camps. Ben is at a cross country camp at Silver Falls with his high school until Wednesday. Kate is taking both driver's ed and a volleyball camp this week. I am enjoying my quiet house.
I did manage to hit a couple of sales this weekend after helping out with one of Friday.
I got this small vintage suitcase - almost a weekend size. It is only 17 inches wide and tiny cute! Destined for studio storage.
The metal vintage label says Portland, Oregon. Evidently it never traveled too far from home.
This was my best find. Silly, satin colored STRIPED balls in ORANGE. What a great find to put to use for my upcoming Halloween gals. I was thrilled! I also found a bunch of silver and gold vintage leaves in their original packaging. Good Stuff.
I'm off to embellish some Christmas trees in the studio. Hope you have a wonderful Monday.
Hi Laurie,
I love the funky orange stripped balls - will be great for Halloween.

I never would think to buy those satin balls (and probably still wouldn't, except in your honor) but they will be perfect for your Halloween girls! I hate to tell you that I'm actually thinking about Halloween decorating (only in the most abstract sense) but I was sure you would understand :)

Hope you are having fun embellishing ;) I can't wait to see all your finished pretties from the studio.
Confession: I've started doing a little Fall decorating. It happened when we harvested several pumpkins from the garden and the Dollar Tree here had tiny real mums that I potted in bigger pots.

All I would have had to see is that Paul Bunyan tag, and that cute suitcase would have been mine! And those striped balls look like they will be perfect for making your Halloween girls!
Our daughter has started to pack,to go back to college Saturday :-(
