All year long I buy Christmas ornaments to use during the holidays to make my wreaths and other holiday goodies. I am oblivious to how many ornaments I am accumulating as I just keep popping them into a corner of my attic. Once a year I pull them out to organize them....it is then that I realize....I HAVE A PROBLEM.
The funny thing is this year I SWORE I was going to slow down on the ornament buying frenzy. I only bought the smaller ones or the really spectacular ones. I do have people give them to me since they know I use them. I also think they may breed in my attic during the year.
I spent a couple of hours sorting them.
Clustered like grapes or attatched to wire stems with foil leaves.
Indents. Stripes. Bells.
Vintage glass garland that I organize in baggies. The bin is full and it would be a tangled mess if I didn't use this method.
This batch of pink is my favorite.
My name in Magpie Ethel. I am addicted to vintage Christmas and proud ot it!
Hey, there are a LOT worse problems you could have ;-)!!

Such a load of sparklie goodness! You know, the first step is admitting you have a problem. The next step is to make some fabulous creations!! You can do it!

Laurie,
I dread the time when my attic gets cleaned out and we see just how many Christmas ornaments are up there.
Keep on being addicted - you do a fabulous job of keeping them sorted and recycling into funky, wonderful items.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

The first step of facing down your addiction is admitting it. The second step is ridding yourself of the dastardly items. Send them to me. I'm here to help you. You may thank me later.

Laurie,
Well, you do use up quite a bit of these in your creations. I know those wreaths you make use a large number of ornaments each. So don't feel bad, you are just collecting your supplies!
Vintage Christmas has just about dried up here. I rarely ever find any glass bead garland anymore. Loads of plain jane ornaments though! So I am a bit jealous!!!

If I lived near you, I could stage an intervention, where I would take alot of that away from you, and keep it at my house, so you wouldn't be tempted. I would only be doing it for your own good! That's the kind of blogfriend I am!

Hi Laurie!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am so happy to have someone visit in addition to Barbara. Bless her heart, she has kept encouraging me through my erratic blogging!
Isn't spooky we posted about garland and pink balls on the same day? I think so!
How I wish I had this many good ornaments. I've done pretty well this year, but I see I have a lot of catching up to do.
I love everything I've seen on your blog and I will spend the next few days pouring through your other posts. I'm off to subscribe to now!

this is morbid (must be the halloween spirit and the fact that I'm awake at 3AM) but isn't it sad that you won't be able to go to the mother of all estate sales...yours!
