Beautiful spring day here in Portland and still waiting for the estate sale season to hit. I did manage to go to two sales today...so got my Friday fix.
A bingo game, vintage Christmas, old tin shovel, a great green shoe rack and some old ribbon spools.
Christmas always makes me happy, especially if it is the smaller size ornaments.
I also came across of slew of old Christmas light boxes to add to my collection. Great, great graphics.
I always pick up the old ribbon spools if they have good graphics on the cardboard ends. I also like the ribbon that is printed with a greeting. Today I found some "Merry Christmas".
It joins the other ribbon in my collection - "To Mother", "Season's Greetings", "Happy Birthday" and "Merry Christmas" (today's find).
I also have a thing for patterns on ribbons.
I also found this tiny green vase today (about three inches tall). The tete-a-tete daffodil came from my yard...
Oh I love the great finds you got on your junking fix today.

You have daffodils blooming already??? Wow, spring must come early in Portland! We are expecting 8" of snow on Monday. Great estate sale finds, especially those light boxes. Your area sure is a good one for all the vintage Christmas stuff you find!

It's not often that I can say that I have something that you have. But, hey, I have that Merry Christmas ribbon. Mine is purple -- not exactly a Xmas color -- with silver lettering and silver bells on it. I think it might have come from a florist's shop.

You've come across some great finds. I love rummaging around at sales and in vintage shops. Even with so many people doing the same it's still possible to come across some fantastic everyday treasures.

How do you find your estate sales. (I think you sent me a link already) Via the paper or the web? You always hit the jackpot!

My heart starts pitty patten when I see what you have found...the sales are really sparse here..we even headed down to Hermiston Oregon on friday...dont know why..only ran into one sale. I think my hubby needed to see his hometown. Well anyway...I did find a bag of old ribbon like yours at goodwill..and even there you cant find much. I agree cant wait till the estate sales start.Sally....forgot I love your idea of putting the xmas tree on the old pink plunger..see I would have wanted to paint a rose on it..haha

I have that vase in pink, but no daffodils even peeking up (not that I'd see them under the snow even if they did)! Looks like another good sale.
