A few years ago at an estate sale I saw a stork that had once been a store display. I passed on it and it has been one of those things that I always have regretted not buying. A stork recently landed at one of the local antique malls. It is an old store display, about 4 foot tall, and while not exactly like the one that got away...it is quite charming. I have gone back and forth about buying it and finally decided to make it a Mother's Day present to myself.
Believe me after having two kids, I know that babies don't come from storks ,...but was happy to have this one delivered to me to celebrate this Mother's Day!
Enjoy the day!
What a great stork!

Love the stork. Over 22 years ago at my first babies' shower, I had a stork for decoration. The local department store let customers borrow it to decorate with for showers.
Thanks for the fond memory of that special part of motherhood long ago. And happy Mothers Day to you and all the other mothers out in Blogville.

Not at all what I was expecting (no pun intended)! It's a very good stork. I'm glad you don't have to live with regret any more. Happy Mother's Day!
