Barbara from Ooodles and Ooodles suggested the topic for this week's challenge. This is not a collection I actively seek out, but none the less came thru with some in this theme.
Three vintage alarm clocks.
I grabbed this jar from my studio as I knew it contained my stash of crafting timepieces.
Here are my watches to use for future craft projects.
And here are my pocket watches from the same jar.
These are my two favorite crafting watches ...just need to get a project going with them. I must be partial to the blue on them.
This is one of my favorite re-purposed clocks. I got it off Etsy last year. The clock face was removed and an old photo inserted. A little girl with a couple of chickens...hand colored and a jewel here and there.
No sundials. Just a short and sweet collection of watches, pocket watches and small clocks.
And altho this collection does not fall under the vintage category...I do collect watches. I swap them out daily according to what I am wearing. Colorful and happy...a great way to keep track of the time! I am one of those people who is naked without a watch on!
So that is my collection of time related items. Remember each Tuesday is a Collection Challenge. If you have a suggestion for a future post, just leave me a comment and finish the sentence, "Show me your collection of _______". Will see what I can do!
Great collection! I collect vintage alarm clocks, too! So fun!

What a wonderful collection. I rarely wear a watch - and then it is only if it matches my outfit!!

You have a great collection of time pieces...one of my favorite things to collect. At last count I had 30 vintage alarm clocks that are displayed in my studio above my window and more on a shelf in my guest bedroom. I just bought 3 more this weekend - I just can't pass them up!
I'm with you and a watch. If I'm not wearing one I feel naked.

Very nice collection. I love all your watches. I stopped wearing a watch and now I may start again. My DH loves clocks and we have a huge collection of them. He loves Baby Ben's and travel clocks so I get those for him when I see them.

Oooo ... I saw some re-purposed clocks with old photos at Monticello Antiques one time. They were those sweet little French ivory clocks. Such a great idea. It's on my list of projects to do one day. We'll see if I ever get around to it! :-)

I love those vintage wristwatches so much! Such pretty faces on them. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who basically wears a different watch every day. I got a couple packages of watch batteries at a dollar store, with about a dozen batteries per package. So when I see a cute "dead" watch at a garage sale, I grab it. The hardest part is getting the back off to change it!

Oh! I love the repurposed travel alarm clock! Now I want to run up to my dad's house and um, take his clock! ;)
What fun stuff you have!
Happy Tuesday,
Sally

Why do I have a feeling that whatever we complete that sentence with....you will be up for the challenge. What a great idea - and lovely collection of time pieces. I'm going to have to think of something that might actually stump you - or spur on a new search? Happy Tuesday.

And imagine how many you'd have if you DID actively collect them!
