A long time blog reader suggested office supplies. This was a fun post as I just gathered totally random things that fell under the office category...I have some oddball items (what a surprise) to share.
We will begin with the simple stapler in a great retro color.
Boxes of paper fasteners. I like to buy old office supplies at estate sales as they are usually cheap and I like the graphics on the old boxes. I also end up using what I buy.
L-O-V-E these old map tacks for marking spots on a map. They are teeny tiny and the top of each has a different pattern or color.
Who can go wrong with a box of old carbon paper and a couple of old boxes of Dennison key tags?
I like old rulers that have the name of a business.
I am not sure why I have so many thumbtacks. Not sure at all. The colors are great tho.
Letter openers from the Fuller Brush company. They come in a rainbow of colors.
They each sport the logo - look just below his feet on the brown one.
A box of pencils in a yummy color. Actually I believe these are golf pencils, but a pencil is an office item regardless of size.
I seem to be finding these photo corners at quite a few sales this year. First it was one envelope of them and now I have about a dozen or so. I really don't need this many photo mounting corners.
But I am attracted to this little guy on the envelope for some crazy reason.
Colored pencils in boxes. Again a sucker for the different graphics.
Old spiral bound notebooks.
And lastly part of the fun of old office supplies is the quirky boxes you can pick up for storage.
That is what I could dig up in the office supply department. If you have a suggestion for a future post, just leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____." I'll see what I can do.
I am sure it will come as no surprise to you that I too love old "office/school" supplies!! I have quite a few old rulers with local names on them, lots of old storage items, one of my favorites is an old black notebook with "Important Papers" scrolled across the front. And I am a sucker for graphics. A font can make me happy!
I am now on a Fuller letter opener hunt, I have never seen one before-love the look!
I tell you we are kindred spirits! :o)

I love that box of pastel pencils, and I'm a sucker for little Swinglines and rulers too! And bless you for keeping that little photo corner guy out of the landfills. You know that if you don't keep buying him, he's just going to get thrown away. He's a cutie!

Laurie!
How wonderful. Thank you for the consideration. My aunts and uncles used to let me play "office" while being cared for. I've since asked them for some of the more unusual items I had played with. One of my favorites is a comptometer. (kind of a perpetual adding machine) My niece and nephew enjoy playing "office" too. Two budding entreprenuers. I let them play with my findings. I want them to appreciate what came before them. Best to you. Again thank you.

Oh Laurie, this is my favorite of all of your collections so far!! I just love the vintage look to all of it!! My Mom has always been a secretary of some sort and still is at the age of 76!! This profession has been thrown out the door by modern ways. But I am so proud of my Mom and she loves it!! Thanks for your post. XO Fran.

Laurie, I am so glad your collection is protected! This was a post after my own heart as I miss my own Mad Men office days. Oh my gosh there is nothing like the smell of a new Ticonderoga #2! Best collection yet! E PS (I almost always make male creations! Calling Dr. Sigmund, I never noticed!)
