Quite awhile ago Carol from Old Glory Cottage challenged me to show my collection of jewelery pins. I do like to wear pins and very much favor vintage ones that I pick up at estate sales. I will begin this collection with showing how I display them. While I also have vintage earrings, shoe-clips, my sorority pin and other items tucked within the pins...you get the just of my display, if it has some bling...this is where it should be.
I have two pieces of foam core that I covered in a vintage flocked green ribbon. They two pieces are attached at the top and bottom of the mirror with clips and I can easily see what I have and wear what I want. I don't have all my pins up here, just the ones that have that look. Here it is close up.
Some ivory, cream and pearly pins.
A vintage flower garden of pins.
The magpie in me likes things that sparkle.
A collection of cameo pins or floral scenes. I bought the whole lot from a serious jewelery hoarder.
A small metal basket with darling little flowers.
These two just make me smile when I wear them.
I also like to wear sweater clips...one that I have is a pin style, so I have included it in this collection.
I do like to dress up an outfit with pins, so this is a collection that I do use.
That ends this show and tell for collection challenge #19. If you have a suggestion for a future post, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show my your collection of ____". I will see what I can do.
happy day....
Love the pins! So much fun...thanks for sharing. I would have trouble picking which one to wear. So I would have to wear several. More is more!
They're all so cute.

Laurie, this is a great collection, and a great way to display them! Sometimes I see a pin that I'm not too sure about, but when they're all grouped together like yours, they look fabulous!

I love the way you display your pins. You might as well see what you have so when you go to wear one, it's easy to find! I LOVE the enameled flower pins.

What a great way to display your pins, I can't hardly pass up sparkly jewels at Estate sales, they remind me of my grandma, when I was little I could sit for hours and play with her costume jewelry. I must have a little Magpie in me too.

Hi Laurie,
I so look forward to collection
Tuesday!! : ) You have collected
some wonderful pins and the way
you display the "bling" is such
a great idea!!!!! It is like a
little jewelry store in your
bedroom. I just adore the pink
dog and the sweet bluebird pin.
Soooooooo cute.
Hugs,
Janis

I love pins and rarely go out without one - gotta love that pink Scottie - it always makes me smile to see one of those.

Love them! I collect pis, too. Mostly the enamel flower pins, and I display them on a fabric covered memo board. I have a few sweater clips as well but I think that one with the cameo and fleur di lis is the sweetest!

I love pins too! I borrow from my grandmother's extensive collection and always receive compliments. And the sororiety pin, I've forgotten about mine. I'm going to pull it out right now!

Have you added all your new flower pins? I think you'd have to add a lot of square footage to your flocked ribbon displays. ;)
