Love this! Funny how just switching up the color takes it from dated to contemporary. Yes, you must keep them or the memory of them will haunt you!

Lynn

And they are not just for Christmas anymore - I can just see them with some large "pearls" and red hearts for Valentine's Day or with a few shamrocks for St. Pats. But I do agree - I wouldn't like all of that gold either!

Krista

OMG I love these....they look absolutely amazing after their makeover. I agree with Lynn I would use them for all the holidays!

Carrie @ Junque Magnet

These look terrific. How lucky you were to find originals!I'd actually never seen them until I saw the reproduction series that Bethany Lowe has done. Then I knew to start looking but alas, no luck as of yet. Thanks for sharing.

barbara

These are pretty great. I wondered how you knew they were "candle crowns" until I saw the box. I do love people who kept things in their original boxes!

Lisa W.

I am so glad you are keeping them !

So neat!! I have never seen those:)

Jill

those are so wonderful! I really can understand why you're holding on to them. They are such a great way to display vintage ornaments. Love those!!
Hugs,
Jill
PS: If, by some big chance you change your mind and can't stand the sight of them, I would be happy to take them off your hands because that's the kind of friend I am. :) giggle...

Janis

Oh Laurie, you did a wonderful
make-over of the candle crowns!!
I too, like the silver instead of
the gold. Sooooooo pretty!!!!!
They should definitely be with you.
Hugs,
Janis

Hey Magpie! I mentioned you in my blog this morning. I TRIED creating a link, but it never works. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I copied the URL above, but when I paste it, there's no link....just http://magpieethel...blahblahblah.Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Tamera @ The Stone Fence Cottage

WOW-- I'm gonna keep my eye's open for those candle thingies!! They are PERFECT to display vintage ornaments (of which I have a TON of) Your collections always inspire me to look for the coolest stuff!

Meri Wiley

Hey Sweet Lady,

I think you're totally justified in keeping those candle decorations, plus you did such a neat thing by repainting them! Now........where did you get them????

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,

Hugs,
Meri

Elizabeth
