This past summer I bought some candle crowns in the original box.
They are meant to go on the top of your candle stick and they came with the little gold ornaments. A few months later I picked up another pair so I had 4 total. I intended to do a little magic to them and then sell them at one of my craft sales.
I spray painted them silver as I am not a huge gold fan and changed out some of the ornaments with some other vintage ones that I had. I was so smitten with the transformation that I decided I had to keep them instead.
The crowns that I found are different heights and the arms are different. I varied the glass candlesticks to give them a bit more interest as well.
I think they are pretty darn neat and hope to find some more to add to this collection. It is easy to change out the ornaments to play with color as well. Definitely a keeper project...these are staying with me.
Happy Monday!
Love this! Funny how just switching up the color takes it from dated to contemporary. Yes, you must keep them or the memory of them will haunt you!

And they are not just for Christmas anymore - I can just see them with some large "pearls" and red hearts for Valentine's Day or with a few shamrocks for St. Pats. But I do agree - I wouldn't like all of that gold either!

These are pretty great. I wondered how you knew they were "candle crowns" until I saw the box. I do love people who kept things in their original boxes!

those are so wonderful! I really can understand why you're holding on to them. They are such a great way to display vintage ornaments. Love those!!
Hugs,
Jill
PS: If, by some big chance you change your mind and can't stand the sight of them, I would be happy to take them off your hands because that's the kind of friend I am. :) giggle...

Hey Sweet Lady,
I think you're totally justified in keeping those candle decorations, plus you did such a neat thing by repainting them! Now........where did you get them????
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,
Hugs,
Meri
