I previously did a collection challenge on my vintage pottery. I also have a collection of figural pottery that is all in a cream/white color. I posted about it before, but it was quite awhile ago and my collection has grown. I display this collection on top of a green dresser with vintage flowers in each piece of pottery. I like the pop of color in each container from the flowers and it gives me a place to keep the handmade flowers I find at sales.
Vintage squirrel with old bump chenille flowers.
Gnomes with vase. Old pipe cleaner and fabric flowers.
A pair of children with more bump chenille flowers.
Small solider with vintage resin and wire flowers. Original Rumkill sticker on pottery.
Pig (?) vase with estate sale found feather flowers.
A jolly little elf/child with pockets full of posies.
Chicken with vintage flowers from Tinsel Trading in New York (a gift).
A cute little deer with vintage crepe paper flowers.
Chirping bird with old flowers made from yarn.
Elephant with estate sale found bouquet of crotcheted flowers.
This figure leaves me guessing. I also think there probably was more original paint on this figure, but I love the worn charm. The flower was estate sale found and looks like a child's project of pipe cleaner and crepe paper.
Tiny figural elephant with some pipe cleaner flowers that Kate made long ago.
Vintage duck with old flowers that I think were hand knit. I changed out the centers as the old centers were ugly.
Tiny bunny with vintage pipe cleaner flowers.
My newest pottery find with just a hint of original pink paint on the ears.
Old baby shoe with handmade soft velvet flowers.
A jolly clown with estate sale found plastic flowers.
Lighting up the whole collection is this sweet vintage bird that my dad made into a lamp for me (I asked me to do it ever so nicely).
I really like this collection. Taking pictures for this post made me do a little dusting and cleaning too!
If you have an idea for a future challenge, please leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____". I love seeing what I can dig up from my stash!
What a great collection, Laurie! And all white, too - I like the gnomes the best!
I've got my calendar marked for Thursday at 8:00 - now I just hope I don't forget to look at it that day!

Love those flowers, the bump chenille and vintage ones especially. I generally dislike fake flowers-- the storebought plastic ones-- but these are pretty nice. Great collection!

This is a really great collection, but do you want to know what impresses me even more? The fact that you still remember where all those flowers came from! I used to have a memory like that, but I guess I've just got too much stuff now!

I love them all. You have a couple I've never seen before. They look great all grouped together. Happy rainy day!

Charming lamp your father made. A family heirloom to be. Love the figures but the squirrel is my favorite. I could probably spend a week at your house looking at each and every little thing!

Ooooh, love the velvet roses in the baby shoe! I think the one that left you guessing is a little mouse. As always, thank you for sharing!

Hi Laurie,
Ohhhhhh...I really like this
white collection and the way you
displayed them too.
The flowers are all wonderful and
I like-y the velvet roses!!! :)
The lamp your Dad made is so unique.
I looked again at the "guessing"
figure and wondered if it is a
kitty? What a great collection.

Janis

The collection is really interesting..I think the one you are questioning is a little kitty..or that is what it looks like to me.

You must spend a lot of work dusting. I am allergic to dust.
So less is more.
I am in awe of people that have
collections. But how often do
you have to dust?
Atleast with ceramics you can
wash them off with cool water
then dry.
