I like to wear holiday attire when I do my shows. I enjoy wearing a bit of vintage bling like a corsage.
Or perhaps my vintage mercury garland necklace that was an estate sale find.
For a few years I have wanted a more laid back vintage look to wear. I was watching Project Runway this year and fell in love with this shirt that Nicholas was wearing.
I asked Amy of Into Vintage if she could could make me a similar shirt, but use vintage Santa images from old aprons. I sent her a shirt, some vintage aprons and some candy cane seam binding. Amy worked her magic. That girl is AMAZING when it comes to using a sewing machine.
This is what the finished product looks like.
It is so dang cute!! It is exactly what I wanted to wear to my shows. I can't wait to debut it at my show this weekend.
In one word...this shirt is CUTE!
Thank you AMAZING AMY...I love my Project Runway inspired Christmas shirt...I will be rocking the vintage runway this weekend at my show!
If you live in the Portland area my show is at All Saints Church (601 NE 39th) on Saturday from 9-5.
OMG,OMG,OMG!!! That shirt is so adorable! You will get bombarded with compliments at the show! I hope your sales are good too. I need to get out my Christmas stuff this weekend.....they're predicting a little snow soon....

Yes - Amy is very talented. In fact, I just received a Christmas tablecloth patchwork pillow from her in my mail today. It is a great match to the patchwork runner I got from her last year. That shirt is adorable. I especially love the santas and their jolly red cheeks! Have a wonderful show this weekend and save us some good things for you to put up on etsy (spun head gals)! I already have the one I want picked out from your pictures.

I'd love to see you "struttin' your stuff" at your shows. The shirt is precious, but I adore the mercury bead necklace - and I found one of those garlands in my stash - Huuuum........
