Lori @ My Vintage Whimsy

Wow! What a great box of vintage goodness. I love the old gift tags -- those are so sweet!

I would be scanning and making my own tags!!

Oh Magpie!

I'm so happy for you and this box! Love, love, love it all!

Off to Lancaster, PA today. A day with just a friend to clear the mind and rejuvenate.

I really love the bridge tallies and the Christmas tags are adorable, too!!! Great finds!

WOW! This must have been an amazing auction. I love auctions! I tend to figure out the "history story" about the person who's things I'm bidding on. Looks like a blast. - Kathy

I cannot imagine winning a better box of goodies ! I think that you did REALLY well !!! Those early 20's gift tags are to-die-for ... Good for you !!

Oh those tags! What a prize.

Wouldn't you love to have a couple of hours to just look through what Ms. Greedypants bought? There's always one (or more) of those types at every auction.

Busy day. Janet

These are awesome finds and worth the 5 hour battle I'd say. How frustrating, though! Maybe you should have talked your Mom into following her into the bathroom and locking the door - hehe!

Some of the best tags ever! I've been at auctions with that woman. Try to take comfort in that you probably caused her to spend more than she really wanted. I think Kathy (above) had an excellent idea.

Just the thought of you bidding on your box has my heart pounding. I could kick myself not to have thought to keep tags in envelopes over the years. It is so sweet! I now am rethinking my views on hoarding. Long live the savers! E

Laurie you know you should not show me these things like this special box you found with all those wonderful vintage items. To me this would be like a dream I was in and found this never in real life could this happen to me and here you have run onto it for real, oh my gosh I'm going to faint I think !!!

Oh how fun! And you nabbed a great box. I've never been to an auction but I hear there is often someone like that woman there. :)

Hi Laurie,
What a wonderful find!!!!!
I also, have never been to an auction but, it would be fun for
me as long as I didn't see something that I REALLY wanted and
then had to go crazy bidding for it. I'm so happy for you that you won that box of wonders!

One word. Dealer.

Love your box of goodies.

Oh and I've been married to a teacher for 34 years and worked or volunteered in schools for almost that whole time and teachers (not him) can almost always be counted on for keeping EVERYTHING!
