On Christmas morning I am always happy to find a few vintage items under the Christmas tree for me. I love the clothes, starbucks cards and other goodies that I receive..but those vintage goodies always tug at my heart.
Some old tinsel, old foil reflectors and a pair of absolutely adorable glass birds.
They are old and have tiny clips to attach to the tree. I like how the clips are positioned..the blue bird almost looks like is flying about the tree when hung.
The teeny tiniest tree topper.
An old "Tree Top Kristal Star" in original box. I have never seen one of these before and from what I could find online, they date to the 1930's or 40's.
A super cute old tin featuring the three bears.
Baby bear in adorable red polka dot undies.
A pair of handmade wooden candlesticks. I think these were probably a shop project in high school. They are marked on the bottom with initials and the date 1921. They show their age and have a nice ivory chippy patina to them.
I hope you found some vintage goodies under the tree on Christmas morning. I was pretty happy with what was hidden away in Christmas wrap waiting for me.
happy day.
Love your vintage gifts, Laurie! Wanted to say hi and I hope we can get together in the New Year!

I found a couple of vintage things under my tree too. That's because I picked them out! That's ok though, because then I get exactly what I want. By the looks of your great gifts, somebody really knows what you like!

Wonderful, wonderful, vintage gifts. Someone really knows how to put a smile on your face!! The birds are precious, and I love that the clip is at the top. My birds always look like they are about to fall off the tree!!

We didn't even put up the tree this year (tho I did decorate) but we also don't exchange gifts since with just us two it's easier to buy what I want and then graciously thank him. I love your stuff and of course it's so fun to live vicariously through you. So thanks, Miss L!!!!

Hmmmmmmm......the B.H.S. marking on the wooden candleholders is intriguing. Doesn't that make one wonder if that might stand for
Benson? Would be fun to know if a Wm. Barry was enrolled at that time. Fun! Love all your vintage goodies. Marie

Wow! Love the reflectors! I searched forever until I found some like my Grandma's. The birds are just beautiful. It will be fun to bring them out next year and be surprised all over again! Zootsuitmama

How sweet those little birdies are with the clips on their backs - how unique. What great gifts to have received. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

how nice! We have some glass birds that sit on top of the branches, but I've never seen any with the clip on top!
