Mary B challenged me to show my collection of Valentine Day goodies. With Valentine's Day less than a week away, this challenge is quite timely. Time to bring on the hearts and the red and pink fun!
Last weeks post featured ROUND tins...here is one that did not fit the ROUND category.
A couple of old kid's magazines. Pack-o-Fun from Feb. 1970. Children's Play Mate from Feb. 1951 (with ever so sweet graphics).
A couple of old plastic candy containers.
A vintage paper mache head fellow.
An old display card for Volland greeting cards.
I love these old Valentine card boxes (all came empty) for the sweet graphics.
Dang cute.
I would rather eat Valentine Dots than chocolates, but I do like the old candy boxes.
And of course, what would Valentine's Day be without sending that card to a special someone?
Remember, if you have a challenge for a future post, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____". I will be happy to see what I have!
Thank you for showing them! You have some great pieces. I love the little Valentine man and the card boxes were beautiful. The magazines were so sweet. I always look for the cute candy holders. I really enjoyed your entire collection!

Great collection sweetie,
I've got two challenges for ya! One is do you collect corn cob holders, and the second one is do you collect cookie presses/molds?
Can't wait to see if you got any.
Hugs,
Meri

As usual, you have the unusual! I've never come across valentine card boxes in my travels, but after seeing yours, I think I need some. Those old magazines are so great too, and the candy boxes are just plain yummy!

Your vintage card boxes are just fabulous. The graphics are just so sweet. Anytime I can see your studio/craft room, I get inspired. I'd love to see your collection of suitcases/doll trunks..etc. and how you've stored your special craft supplies.

Oh these are great...graphics are not near as good anymore it must be because it is all digital now. Either that or I am just old! I was looking back at an old post of the piece you had commissioned for your kitchen. The shadow box. It is simply stunning. I think we need a new tour of THE HOUSE for you know ideas! Love it all.
