Yesterday was a dismal sale where I left empty handed even though I got in the door quickly. Today I hit one and was happy to score some Christmas.
A lonely bottle-brush tree, tiny flowers and some old ribbon spools.
And a purchase that made my heart happy. In MY WORLD vintage Easter grass is always much greener than the modern stuff...I hunt it down, but I don't find it often. My stash was getting smaller and smaller...
Today I found a big bag of it to use for crafting! The little Easter chicks I have been busy making in the studio will be able to run through little fields of it on their poker chip bases.
The grass really is greener if it is vintage Easter grass!
p.s. Easter will be arriving on Etsy soon. I will give a heads up on my blog as usual.
those little chickies are adorable with their vintage green easter grass. it does look a lot greener than modern grass. it's the little things that make a big difference, don't you think?

Those chickies make me smile!! I used to tell my children that the Easter bunny came back and collected the Easter grass the night after Easter - if I didn't it would be everywhere!!
I agree with you - the new stuff isn't as good and I don't like that it comes in colors either - guess I'm just a traditionalist at heart - who knew?

Those are adorable little Easter chicks! Just darling. I love the way you've jazzed them up in their Easter finery. Don't you hate when you can't find a THING at an Estate Sale? I know I do. Enjoy your Sunday. - Kathy

I agree, the grass is always greener on the vintage side of the fence! I hate the modern plastic stuff. Your chickies are very cheery!

Hi Laurie,
I think I am your biggest new fan. I love these little chickens. I will have to get my hands on one of these when you post them to Etsy. You are so original and have such wonderful things. I am watching for my latest 2 little ladies I purchased from you to arrive. (my snow lady and lucky girl :} ) Keep crafting, I will keep sending my husband to work so I can enjoy the lovelies you make.
Blessings,
Shelley

Hi Laurie,
I just love your sweet Easter
chicks and they look adorable
in the vintage Easter basket
grass. I remember that grass
so well. I liked the waxy feeling
and the color of it. :)
I'm glad you found some really
great finds at the sales.
Hugs,
Janis

Oh boy I missed this post I see an Easter visit to Etsy coming on!! Too cute chicks here. I posted on my blog some chicks I've been making following a tutorial from Diane on Saturday Finds. They are rather addictive once you get going on them.
