For those of you who read ALL the way to the end of the LONG estate sale friday post you will remember I mentioned a $2 item.
My estate sale journey is not always rosy. I hit alot of dud sales...lots. Saturday I hit FOUR SALES and ended up with one lone $2 purchase.
I wanted an outdoor patio umbrella that I could leave out all summer. This one is heavy vinyl and will fit the bill. It was not priced and when I asked the woman she told me $2. I started to open it up on the driveway to double check on the condition. What I saw inside sold me in a split second. Into my car it went and it now sits in my backyard.
Love, love, love the hidden floral pattern inside the umbrella. It is in perfect condition except for some rather dirty cream colored fringe. (I may try to use some bleach water on the fringe to clean it up.)
Best $2 I have spent in quite a while. Made me forget about those dud sales I had hit earlier in the morning too!
Happy Day!
I'm betting that a cheerful patio umbrella is a necessity in Portland! It's a beauty.

Can't beat that buy. Wouldn't want to know what the depreciation value was on it? It is super. How great to sit under an umbrella of flowers while it is raining cats and dogs...smiles...Renee

What a beauty! This is the kind of find that even if it wasn't in perfect condition I would STILL buy it and try to salvage it. Great score!

I LOVE IT!! And it's in one of my favorite colors, dirty fringe and all. I think I'd lightly spray it with a bit of borax dissolved in water, let it set in the sun for a bit and then rinse it off before I got out the big guns (bleach)!

Wow! Awesome find! I think you might have to wear some of those funky vintage glasses and sip lemonade from an old frosted glass while sitting under this pretty umbrella. :)

Oh gah! I've had a search going on Craigs List for awhile now for "patio umbrella" just to find one like this one!!! No luck yet. Great find and for $2! Sigh.
