My friend Kim from Camp Whimsy emailed me a couple months ago and told me she had found an old sign in an alley that was perfect for me. On my way to San Francisco I was able to pop into the small town of Maxwell and pick up the sign from her hubby.
It is better than I could have ever wished for!
I had been thinking of adding some shelves in my studio, but have not gotten around to it. This sign is going to speed up the redo. I'll be flipping one wall and adding this sign and a couple of much needed storage shelves. I think it may be a weekend project...post to come!
Thanks again Kim...this sign is so ME!
Yes......that sign is so you! :-)
What a great friend to think of you. I have friends like that too. The best! I can see the creativity swirling in your head already lol.
Have fun - Doreen

WOW. That alone must have been worth the trip! Or at least a very big highlight. Do you know what it was originally for?

Ok...What are the chance I will find one of these. I need a nick name. A birthstone name. One like Pearl, Ruby you know one of those. This is super. I love it. Glad you made it home in time for the fish funeral. Smiles...Renee

I love stories like this! It's so perfect for you, but I wonder what it was originally for. Who was Ethel, and where was she being welcomed to? Oh it doesn't matter. Now it's welcoming YOU to your craft studio every day!
