I was given a bit of a hard time on my 39th collection challenge for posting about ROUND vintage tins only. Today I am adding to the tin post and showing my collection of tins intended for sweets.
Most of these tins were filled with some sort of candy initially and were manufactured in England. They are a smaller size, usually about 5 or 6 inches in diameter.
Flowers
Packed and manufactured by M.A. Craven and Sons in York, England.
I love the whimsical ones with the child oriented illustrations.
Notice the cat is chasing the mouse with salt shaker in hand.
The owl and the pussycat
A duck teaching birds to fly with a flying manuel at his feet.
These are all from a manufacturer called Horner and are one of the more popular manufacturer of tins. Most of them held toffees.
Tins with cute little real life photos...a girl with a goat and a flowerly lady.
This tin depicting the tree bears in adorable.
Even the sides of the tin are illustrated.
A Riley's Toffee Tin that is from 1958. Celebrating 100 years in British Columbia.
A fun collection and please note that none of these are ROUND! You may still find one more post on tins of another shape in an upcoming challenge....
If you have an idea for a collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____." I will see what goodies I have.
So much cuter than an Altoid tin! I don't think I ever see these ...

Sitting here with a cup of coffee looking at my "fave" blogger :-)
Sigh......
Stayed up late last night pouring over you older posts and got more inspiration to pull all of my vintage goodies out for display.
Beautiful morning here!
Have a great day ;-)

I think it's interesting how different parts of the country have different types of vintage items. In my quest for more, always more, vintage tins, I have never seen anything like any of these. Love the flower ones.

Oh Laurie! Your spun head ice skater is truly a special creation! I think I am so tickled with it because that is how I met my husband - on ice! Your special wedding topper also will be such a treasured heirloom. You simply are famous now. You are collected, and your fans wait in anticipation for your next creation. I couldn't imagine such success for a more special artist. Wonderful! Elizabeth

Round, square, octagon, rectangle...I wouldn't care as long as they have these great graphics. I will let you know, that I have yet to find one of these though. Even at an antique store. Nothing...I should have known you are hoarding them all...just kidding. Love them! Isn't it funny that we collect your creations...hmm! maybe you started something? Smiles...Renee
