Occasionally I find some unique Christmas item that I have never run across before. Here we have some pressed cardboard reindeer that were intended for crafting.
They are pretty large - about 15 inches across and I got three of them.
They even came with the name of the former owner on the backside...I guess she was worried abou them leaping away.
I decided they needed have a little Magpie Ethel magic done on them.
Silver paint, glittered tails and antlers and a wreath of vintage fun bling.
Everything looks better with sparkle.
I would love to see one of these reindeer dancing across a mirror on a mantle during the holidays...or perhaps gracing a Christmas wreath. Lots of ideas twirling about in my head.
Off to join the rest of the reindeer..Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen.
Happy Day!
SCREAM......love those Reindeer! They look like like the one that's on the neon sign that says Welcome to Portland....Am I right? I loved that sign and I forgot to take a pic of it when we were there. How fun!
Great job you did on them :-)

You've worked a special bit of Christmas magic on those lovely reindeer. They are simply divine.

I think Mrs. Valdemar Johnson would approve.

Laurie, From the very first photograph I thought about what you might do to these fellas, and sure enough a photo later - magic! I absolutely loved your globe challenge. I have such a passion for them myself and can hardly keep myself from buying them. Vintage Map Blue is my favorite shade! My longing is for a pull down school map of the world that I could mark all of the places my husband has traveled. Dream on! Have a great weekend! Elizabeth

Well done and you are so right about using them on a mirror or a wreath. You just can't have too much glitter and sparkle to brighten up the gloomy winter months!

I wonder how many years these deer have been waiting to be brought to their full, beautiful potential! I think you're right, they would look just gorgeous prancing across a mirror!
