Heather from Heather Donohue Crafts asked to see my collection of mushrooms. At first I did not think I had much a collection in this category, but after I looked around a bit I realized I had a few mushrooms sprouting here and there and enough to do a post.
This is my favorite all time mushroom and it also falls into the honeycomb paper category. It lives in my living room in a corner cabinet next to a party favor swan and my collection of cream ware. The mushroom is marked Denmark.
This trio of mushrooms lives in my cabinet of curiosities. They do sprout up everywhere. Usually I group collections, but these mushrooms have a mind of their own and sprout up willy nilly.
This was my best estate sale find ever on mushrooms. They are spun cotton and I found a gazillion of them. They are marked "Made in Germany East" on the paper tag.
Napping wooden gnomes with mushrooms.
Made by a local crafter, these mushrooms add some whimsy to a plant in my living room.
Teeny tiny mushrooms.
Handmade felted and paper clay mushrooms decorate a mobile in my studio.
Being a crafter of course I have a tin of mushroom to put to use. Note the little mushroom tag on the outside of the tin, so I can tell the contents.
Mushrooms have turned up in my crafting this holiday season. These are little glass ones on clips that I decorated with a spun snowman. The mushrooms were estate sale found.
Mushrooms sprouting up left and right. In my head a collection must have at least three, so I definitely surpassed that mark. Good challenge Heather.
If you have an idea for a future challenge, please leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____". I will see what I can do.
P.S. I was going to do a collection challenge on vintage Thanksgiving since it would have been so timely...but realized I did that last year!
I feel like I'm sitting here going through a good book with my coffee
:D
Amazing collection of mushrooms. I keep waiting for Alice in Wonderland to pop out somewhere!
Love that tin full of tiny mushrooms. Well, they're all cute actually LOL.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh I love mushrooms and you have quite a lovely collection. I have made some out of felt and painted on white dots on red felt with a pencil eraser end and then sprinkled glitter on the dots, they were so cute.

I have a feather tree that comes out at Christmas. It's filled with toadstools and mini elves. Last year, Josie helped me make tiny toadstools with acorns. Your collection is just wonderful.

Great mushroom collection! I found a box full of ceramic ones at an estate sale, they were an ugly brown so I painted them red and added white polka dots and they sold instantly. They are so hot right now! Thanks for sharing.

Oh yes, you do have quite the mushroom collection. They really do just sneak up on you, don't they. Collections, I mean.
Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving.

There's just something about shrooms, especially the polka dot ones, that add the perfect touch of whimsy to any room! Gosh, I can't believe you're on collection #80. Do you have any vintage deers? And have you featured any Santas? Those are my requests!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Carol

I love your 'shrooms! I've never seen a honeycomb one until I saw yours-- great find!
I smiled when I saw the gnome napping... sooo sweet!
I didn't realize that I have a 'shroom collection. I've got three on my tree this year... yes, my Christmas tree is up already. I like coming home to Christmas after thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Jill
