Hello Laurie,
For my birthday, my sister-in-law gave me the book "Kitschmasland". I think you have at least one of everything photographed within its pages. You should write a book! Thank you and Happy Belated Birthday! Have a splendid weekend.

How fun! I hope it give the "recipe" for those giant mushrooms.

Into Vintage

I like to think Nellie would be pleased her collection went from one vintage crafter to another.
;-)

Hahaha....The Q-tip crafts? H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S.! Truly the product of an insanely bored housewife without access to wine......or drank too much of it.....

Awesome book. Well done Amy! This kind of over-the-top kitsch takes its rightful place in the Magpie Museum.

Debra Ganas

Funny how some crafts stood the test of time and others did not. I am so glad it was pink pool reindeer, pink trees, and pixies.
Craft on, Laurie, craft on.

What a treasure for you, Laurie!!
I wonder if Nellie's relatives considered her a hoarder... Just look at the happiness she saved for you- and us!

Those reindeer are really something! When I watched Rudolph with the grands this year, it really struck me how much sweet pink there was in the set designs. ♥

Doreen

What a great friend you have to give you such a cool book for your birthday! She must know you well!
Perfect for you to take a break and find more ideas LOL.
We have the same weather down here too.....dreary, windy and wet.
Thanks for sharing and I hope you come across those reindeer too :-)
Stay dry!

Renee

Stunning. I can only imagine all the things that you didn't show. These are just magical. Knowing that they are handmade is even more impressive.

Thank you Amy for sending them in the right direction...smiles...Renee

I'd like to challenge you to make something cute from Q-tips. I'll bet you can do it. They are, after all, SPUN COTTON.

Annette

Amy sure found you the perfect gift!! Isn't it wonderful to have friends who really "get" you??

barbara

A never-ending source of inspiration! That's a great gift (naturally, considering the source!)

Carol @ Old Glory Cottage

Those old magazines are simply the best, and I look forward to seeing some floating reindeer from you at some point in the future!

Lori

That Q-Tip piece is a riot! I love old books like that, the photos are too funny!

Jill

Okay, I want giant mushrooms and pixies in my yard. Oh, and those deer are so sweet! It would never cross my mind to float them on the pool. So funny!
Amy really nailed it... the perfect gift for you!
Hugs,
Jill
