Today I hit one sale. I signed up the yesterday on the list and was number 57(there were 118 names on the list when the sale started today). Not a great number and I had to wait a teeny bit as they let in waves of people, but I still did quite well. The estate was of a former teacher and she kept lots of things that I like. My mom came with me to the sale to be an extra set of hands and eyes for me.
One bedroom was full of Christmas. I got lots of smaller ornaments and Christmas light reflectors. The spun heads were in a bag of things that I bought and I did not even see them till I got home!
Foil Candy containers, lots of vintage Dennison style holiday decorations and foiled bells
I think alot of the cardboard holiday decorations must have decorated her classroom walls. She had quite an assortment of holidays.
Unopened bags of gift tags and vintage flash cards with illustrations.
I got a couple of old crepe paper tablecloths. Was happy to score a Halloween one!
I really was taken with the assorted styles of these vintage brick crepe papers. Different manufacturers evidently looked at brick patterns a bit differently.
A set of three floral storage tins, an old thermos with stripes, a couple of baby juice cans (graphics) and a bunch of old honeycomb eggs. My mom found the eggs and they were folded in a bag. I thought they were balls and was THRILLED to find they were eggs instead.
A plastic chick and an old drip can. The word DRIPS on it made me buy it.
The luck of the Irish was with me today. A lephrechan to add to my St. Patty's display.
An old set of Red White and Blue books perfect for a patriotic display.
I am always happy to find vintage plates with the great old graphics. I found two Thanksgiving plates.
Plus three styles of Valentine plates!
I found one BIG handmade envelope that held a ton of vintage Valentines that she had received from her students. It had a big assortment of cards.
One of my silliest finds was a box of old Easter egg dye. I have a small collection of them.
The estate also had a huge assortment of vintage books. Lots of teaching materials and books with wonderful graphics. I am going to split this post and share that tomorrow as this post is already pretty long....
until tomorrow.
Another amazing sale! Lots of things to 'favorite' here, but I think I'm going with the flash cards.
