My mom and I headed to an estate sale about 45 minutes from Portland today. It was advertised as a hoarder sale with outbuildings and I had high hopes. As we were driving there it was lightly raining and ahead of us was a rainbow. I commented to my mom that I hoped the rainbow ended at the estate sale and that a pot of gold was waiting for me.
Vintage gold that is. Not a big pot, but I did well.
We arrived just over two hours before the sale opened and were number seven and eight on the list.
I love this blow-mold lamb and the rubber toy is Sniffles from an old cartoon.
A styrofoam snowman waiting to be gussied up, red celluloid deer, pink bottlebrush tree and a bunch of paper lanterns.
A herd of vintage reindeer, a couple of strands of mercury glass garland, mica birds and a Christmas corsage.
Vintage glitter, corsage pins and a deck of horse playing cards.
A pair of Relpo turkeys.
I bought a bunch of baby rattles and plastic toys. They were all in a box with a bunch of other random toys, so I had to dig around to find them.
I have never seen this little nightlight before with the lamb.
This little SWEET baby heart toy will be great for some Valentine spun heads. The red and white bells will be tucked away for the Fourth of July.
This was my favorite find tucked in with the baby items. An old pacifier, with a stork (or swan) handle.
And last but not least a little scottie dog figure and a celluloid pig.
So glad I saw that rainbow today. Happy Day!
very nice! i love all the deer!

Glad you found some gold at the end of your rainbow! I went to WA yesterday and the rainbow didn't carry on that far but I still had fun.
Happy Hunting!

I love the little baby toys. I don't know why, but I do! I recently scored a sweet little box that once held a baby toy. It is a shape/size that would maybe hold your little phone or guitar or dumb-bell shaped one. Are any of yours marked "A Plakie Toy Hoover Products Co. No. 18"?

Great finds, as usual. Anytime I see a white Scottie, I consider it a Westie, which is my favorite breed (because I have two)!

Oh wow.....you did hit the pot of gold. What a great bunch of goodies you found. It's so darned hot here (109 degrees) I don't even have the energy to go to sales.

Laurie, if it were not for you, we wouldn't get to read words such as Bingo-matic or see herds of red flocked reindeer. I always anticipate leaving here with a smile on my face. You put the YOU in FUN! E

What a great bunch of stuff! I've yet to go to an estate sale where they're considerate enough to give out numbers--down here everyone jams up against the door and when opening time comes it's a madhouse full of pushing and shoving and sharp elbows. I don't even bother trying to be first unless there's something I can't live without that I've seen in photos. Then I become a linebacker! I love that little lamb nightlight, and as I remember, Sniffless had a really sweet high-pitched voice. Great finds!!!!

From the lamb to that pacifier, I think these are the sweetest finds that I've ever seen! Definitely a BIG pot of gold at the end of that rainbow!
