Most of my Halloween decoration are concentrated in the livnig room and dining room. I like to use streamers and to add some festive fun to the ceiling. I taped old cardboard cutouts over my floral prints that hang in the six frames on the back wall.
I ended up with a bunch of vintage dancers/danglers that I found at estate sales this year. I like how they looked all dancing from my Halloween tree with those springy crepe paper legs.
I used an old food dye can with black and orange graphics to give height to the tree. Vintage party favor cups are scattered at the base.
Here is that great paper mache pumpkin that I found last weekend. I added the vintage paper crown to his head.
Did you notice I used some of my mothball tins from my collection in the display?
My mantel with different garlands and spiders. I also added some old chemistry glassware and vintage photos that have been spookily altered.
Coffee table with a vintage Nesbitt's cardboard six pack holder. It is full of bump chenille flowers. A glittery black hand emerges from it as well. I always pick up old vintage children's magazines at estate sales if they are the October issue and add them to this pile.
This handmade big bad wolf was found in a free bin sopping wet at an estate sale. I added the BOO badge.
I have a bit more Halloween fun to share later this week...lots of spooky stuff.
Waaaaay too Cute! What a festive looking house you have!! All those details. Those framed pics and streamers with the light cover make that room look party ready!Love your tree with the dancers/danglers on there. So clever with those mothball tins and the can for your tree. The mantel does look spooky :-o What is that pumpkin man or boy in the the clothes? A cardboard cutout?
Thanks for sharing and making my morning.More to come too? Can't wait to see!!

You sure have a knack for decorating! Really nice! I love the idea of taping cut-outs over existing pictures (I never thought of that!)-- I just might do that in my house. Thanks for the inspiration.

I have a lot of cut-outs and used only a couple this year...I really like the idea of applying them to the glass of a framed picture. I just noticed that someone else feels the same...it's a really good idea! =D

How wonderful and fun. I hadn't seen any danglers until your collection but they definitely had flair to your tree. I cans used for elevation and decoration are genius. I have no old Halloween. It's just something I don't find. I do decorate but have to use new that looks old.
