You have heard me talk about my love for vintage cardboard mica birds. I did a collection challenge on them here. I went to a big antique show locally a couple of weekends ago and bought a cardboard mica creature that I had never seen before. It dawned on me after this purchase that I have a small collection of unusual mica figures.
Here we are again with those cardboard mica birds.
They really are cute.
This mica seal was estate sale found a few years ago.
I have these three silly old gnomes.
Last but not least, the latest addition, a wonderful mica reindeer. Marked made in Japan.
I like the variety of items in this collection. I have never seen another deer or seal. Who knows what other creatures lurk out there to be found?
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____". Fun to share!
I think I delighted in that seal find originally and am happy to do so again - he is SO CUTE! Those birds - well, you know how I feel about them!

The little deer is cute but he looks a bit uncomfortable in that position :>(

I had no idea that there were other mica creatures out there. I have just the one grey bird that I found after learning about them here on your blog.

I've always been smitten with your birds. Don't they look happy in that box. Love the pretty pink backdrop. Those gnomes are adorable. Let's face it, what isn't cute in mica!!

No you did not....find the cutest mica figures ever. I had no idea they made anything other than birds. The reindeer is amazing...do not tell me where you keep him or he would go missing along with everything else you find!

So cute! I've never seen any other creature besides the birds, and those little gnomes! The seal and deer are very unique finds!
I have about a dozen birds...now I'll be on the lookout for other wildlife!
Thanks for sharing,
Erica :)

I have some of those birds, a gnome and I think Dopey but I've never seen any of the other creatures. Lucky you...they somehow all gravitate towards you!
Thanks for sharing :-)

Oh Laurie, don't you just be those gnomes and reindeer were probably thought of by a factory worker who found they had one too many bird bodies and not enough heads. They are fabulous and such fun. Thanks for another CC! Elizabeth

I love your little mica birds and gnomes! I've never, ever seen a seal or deer, and I've looked in a lot of antique mall showcases in my day!
