Two years ago on Challenge #29, I did a challenge on Thanksgiving. I had three Relpo turkeys at that point in time, although only two made in the post. With Thanksgiving this week I decided I would revisit my Relpo turkey collection which has grown a tiny bit in the two years since my last post.
Big turkey.
Trio of smaller turkeys.
They all have the Relpo mark or sticker on the bottom. The one of the far right has the 50 cent price that I paid. I am surprised I don't run across the turkeys that often. I wish I would.
This fellow makes the collection, even tho he is not a Relpo. He still has that look and shape.
Gobble, gobble.
If you were wondering where my turkeys live during the Thanksgiving holiday, they live on the top of my china hutch in turkey land.
A mixture of turkey candles and other turkey figures.
I sure like collections grouped together. This rafter of turkeys is fun to pull out year after year. This handmade turkey by Crystal, is new to the group. It is darling. I don't often refer to turkeys as darling, but this one is.
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____."
Loving the turkeys. I really like displaying all of my collections together too. Have a great Thanksgiving & hopefully your weather is better than in the valley!

Nice to see your Turkey or Thanksgiving collection this morning! All I've been seeing out there is Red and Green.Don't get me wrong...I'm ready to get out my Christmas but I do like the colors of Fall too. I've never really run across any turkeys when I'm rummaging (They must be at your house) LOL.I do have a cardboard and honeycomb one in front of our window and a large colorful turkey platter though.
Thanks for sharing and
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Glad we have our boat on the side of our house....we may have to use it!

Those old turkeys are SO beautiful, aren't they? LOVE your collection, and I'm a little ashamed that I skipped right over the turkeys this year, and went straight to elves!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I too am surprised not to see more turkeys out and about. I know that the florists and Fanny Mae candy stores often made hostess gifts using these as the base for the Thanksgiving holiday. I have two of the larger ones and the rest of my turkeys are salt and peppers. I also put out pheasants I have this time of year. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I think this is one of my favorite collections you have shown us. I love the autumn colors with them all grouped together like that. Beautiful!

I actually left my turkeys and autumn birds out this year...they usually get replaced by Christmas Porcelain figures...maybe next week! I love your display!

I think Crystal's turkey qualifies as darling. Your collection is making me think about getting mine out ... just hasn't happened yet this year.

Laurie, Your Plucky show photographs are absolutely wonderful to look at. It's fun to see just how many different things you make. Amazing!
I wanted to stop by and wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your family. A full house here, I'm already smelling Turkey! E
