I have been busier than busy lately. With my holiday Etsy going up this past Tuesday (thanks to all for the Etsy love) and Plucky Maidens Junk Fest this weekend..life has been insanely crazy. Imagine my surprise when I read my horoscope on Tuesday morning.
You are at the top of the game and able to DOUBLE YOUR WORKLOAD. Really?
I interpreted the double my workload phrase as an indication that I should hit an estate sale mid week on top of everything else that I had going on. I did just that.
Santa was good to me with this blow-up fellow. I now have a small collection of blow up holiday figures. I grew up with one that my grandfather had. I am curious to get them all out and see exactly what sort of blow up family I have gathered.
A great, great assortment of vintage red, white and blue hats as well as a bunch of candy container hatchets. The box that they came in was labeled Washington and Lincoln'a birthday.
Thrilled that some of the hatchets had the original price of a dime.
A little Halloween with a metal noisemaker and some vintage napkins.
A couple of snowman perfect for some Putz house decorating.
A few tin molds for crafting and some shamrock seals.
We celebrate Thanksgiving at my Mom and Dads. I figured they might need a blow up turkey to add to the fun this year. The package has never been opened and it is dated 1971. I think it is high time this turkey was inflated!
My favorite find were these birds. Bookends, with original price of $5.49.
I also got another set of birds to keep them company.
I was more than happy to double my workload if it involved estate sale land!
Happy day. Off to get Plucky today at Plucky Maidens! I have so much stuff I have my Dad's truck AND my car packed with goodies!
Ha Ha Ha Ha...That is too funny about your horoscope! There are just signs everywhere for you to find all that vintage goodness out there. It all magically gravitates towards you in some way or another. Those birds are just darling! I also just realized you hit the jackpot with great seasonal goodies.
Thanks for sharing and making my day :-)
Have fun!

OK then! I'm a Capricorn as well, so I'm going to take that horoscope just as you did! I'm heading out the door to do some major antiquing for the day. The shops are all having sales, so I'm going to Double My Work Load...and load up!
Thank you for letting me know that this is what I need to do! LOL
Your finds from the Estate are Fabulous! The bird bookends being my favorite!
Happy for you!

I can't decide which I like more the Washington and Lincoln birthday holiday items. Although I am extremely fond of blue birds. Yesterday was my birthday and my daughter gave me a metal imprinted with the "Queen of the Garage Sales". I think you need one that says "The Queen of Estate Sales."

I bet my horoscope said "Slim pickings will abound for you".
Can I tell you how jealous I am of everyone that gets to go to your sales. I think you should come to the Midwest with all of your treasures. So many fun things!

Can't wait to go tomorrow! See you there. Jealous at what you find. Every time I think to go to sales, there aren't any. Good thing we have you to find things for us.
