With the holidays just around the corner, I am poised to pull out my Christmas bins and start the decorating frenzy. One of my favorite holiday items is my tree of bells.

Evidently in my world of collecting, a girl can never have enough bells. These are all bells of the glass ornament variety.
I love the texture on some.
I love that they come in different sizes.
Some tidy in an original box.
Bells with stripes and patterns.
As I find the bells during the year I hang them in this spot. This was the haul that I found this year...probably about 15.

In addition to my love of the bells on my bell tree, I also love bells that are made of chicken wire and vintage mercury glass beads. I don't find these often enough.

When I do find them they get added to the bell chandelier in my studio that hangs out there year round.
I end up hanging other smaller interesting ornaments from it as well. You can see the tiny chandelier ornament I got the other day hanging on the left.
I like the old cardboard bells that are covered in foil. I use them for crafting. They are often marked Japan on the inside.

I like it even more when I find them and they are part of a holiday dangler.
I especially love it when a bell is dated. Bonus is that it is pink.
I am sure that it is no surprise that I collect vintage bells for crafting. Bin one of bells.
Bin two of bells.
Bells made of plastic and striped in retro fun.
Plastic bells in a filigree design.
Bells made of metal.
Another favorite are these frosty bells.

It is funny that when I do a post like this, I think I only have a small collection of them. I think I proved myself wrong. If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____." You never know what collection will ring in next...
p.s. I did another post on bells of another variety, jingle bells for collection #82. You can revisit that post here.
