I am sure sometimes when you see something I have picked up at an estate sale you may wonder why I was attracted to it. Like this little ceramic fireplace. It is about 6 inches tall. Cute, but needed some TLC.
This note was tucked inside which of course sealed the deal for me. 1st Christmas 1925, Anna Sorenson, 50 years old.
It has sat in my studio for a few months now. Waiting.
Here is is with some Magpie Ethel magic. I started with one lone spun head of a Santa and the little fireplace.
A bottle brush wreath and reflector bling.
I think Santa is happy with his new home.
The note that came tucked inside the fireplace is attached to the bottom of the fireplace.
Creating things like this sure make me happy. Really happy.
You never cease to amaze and inspire me:-) Enjoy having your family together for the holidays! I'm off to make about a zillion pies.

Magic for sure...hardly recognizable...I always wonder how you choose the ones you keep and the ones you sell..By the way, I found a fireplace a year ago and I still can't figure out what to do with it...smiles..Renee

That fireplace was super cute to begin with, but with some Ethel Magic, I think it now looks like it was always supposed to be.....enchanting!
