I signed up yesterday for an estate sale today. I was number 16 on the list, so a pretty good number. When I got to the sale today they were only going to let 15 people in. As they read off the names and lined people up there was one fellow that was not there when they called his name. Thank goodness for Mr. No Show as I became lucky #15 and got in with the first wave of people!
Not an amazing sale, but enough to make it worth my while.
I got a whole bag of smaller Christmas ornaments and a couple of knee hugger elves.
In the bag of ornaments there were also an assortment of bells. I also picked up a small vintage heart shaped baking tin for a Valentine display.
A unused container of glitter, a yellow thimble, a pair of vintage sunglasses, some old flowers for crafting and misc. Valentine doo-dads.I had my spun head magnetic powers on today. I really like the tiny spun head gal near the penny. She has a darling pipe cleaner skirt. I also found some old tiny holiday decorations including the little box meant to look like a box of ornaments.
Thank you Mr. No Show...you gave me a happy day!
See how things work out for you? It just must be that lucky karma that you seem to have :-)Glad you got your fix today! Of course more glitter, sunglasses and spunheads just up your alley! I think those elves escaped from here though LOL
Thanks for sharing
Have a great weekend!

I've been eager to see your latest estate sale goodies. The Spun Head Gods were definitely smiling on you. It's been quiet here with estate sales. Emma did join me yesterday for a bit of antiquing. I'm starting to think of Easter projects. Can't wait to see what you have in store!

Even though it may not look like much, it is definitely an amazing haul to add to your crafting supplies! You better take a photo of yourself with those sunglasses on and add them to the photos at the top of your blog! I can't wait:-)
On a side note, Maddie wants to make her own Valentines this year. It is the last year that she will have a card swap party in school so she wants to go all out. We plan on decorating plain gift tags that we bought at the craft store. I am a glitter newbie so do you have any suggestions on how to use glitter and make it stay on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I know the kneehuggers are for Christmas, but they would be sweet in a Valentine Display too. But, I bet you already thought of that since you are the Holiday Queen. :) I'm itching for Yard Sale season. The thrifts are getting thin and expensive.

WOW! What a lucky girl. I can never seem to be in the first wave of an estate sale. You hit the jack pot girly. Looks like some great treasures.

Awesome Laurie! You find the neatest stuff - I love the little ornament that looks like a box of ornaments! What a cute idea. Yep, thank goodness for Mr No-Show. I wonder if he ever did get there? Glad you benefited from his tardiness!

I love the old flowers. I have some angels constructed out of the same materials. I think the mini ornament box would look terrific under a bottle brush tree done to look like a tree is being decorated. The only thing I have found recently was a honeycomb Uncle Sam's hat.

That teeny box of "ornaments" is too cute. Could make something like that for a dollhouse!

The universe is definitely looking out for you when it comes to estate sales. It must know you only use your vintage crafting powers for good. ;-)
