(those swell ladies would be myself and Amy from Into Vintage)

That would be Round Top, Texas!
Texas...home of Round Top Antique Show!
I am more than excited for this trip. Round Top has been on my bucket list forever. This year I can cross it off.
For those of you unfamiliar with Round Top it is a HUGE ANTIQUE show in Texas that is held twice a year. A two week event with multiple antique shows and fields of vintage vendors. Martha Stewart Living magazine has a spread on it in the current issue...this only got me more excited!
If anyone in blogland has been to this show and has tidbits to offer they would be most appreciated! Amy and I will be junking for almost a week. We are flying down and renting a car. I am packing light and hoping to return home with a bunch of vintage goodies.
Vacation countdown begins...we will be departing the first of April! Yeehaw baby!
How fun! Be sure to take lots of pics for those of us who will be many miles away drooling at your antiquing adventures.

Be prepared to park and walk. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a flea market cart. Start taking translation classes now. You may never see or meet nicer folks. Another piece of my heart lives there...having grown up there too. For heavens sake enjoy every moment.

Oh Laurie, you two are gonna have an epic time! After Round Top, what could possibly be next?!
Just remember the Texan motto...."Go Big or Go Home!"

Laurie, I can't imagine there being vintage anymore wonderful than right where you live, but a show that goes on for two weeks has to have something to haul back home. I can't wait to see what you find!
Wow! What a great Estate Sale you recently went to. The chenille animals remind me of the ones you took to the Roadshow. Very cool!
My order arrived today, absolutely darling, every single creation. Thank you so much for the little bunny ornament. So cute! 29 Days and Counting! Elizabeth

As a resident of Texas and having been to Round Top (only) once (but hope to go lots more times), in addition to the advice given above, don't forget to wear sunscreen, layer clothing (it may be chillish in the mornings, but will warm up after lunch), and pace yourselves. You cannot possibly see everything, so just take your time and enjoy! You will have a blast.

I told Amy you need to Twitter so all of us can be with you along the way! Very exciting!

You lucky girls!! I was actually going to go this year, only about a 10 hour drive from me, my mom and I had it all planned. That was until I realized that it is mom's weekend at University of Arkansas that weekend and I can't miss that! My baby would be crushed! (Ok, let's be honest, I would be crushed, he would probably be just fine). Oh well, I will go vicariously through you two. Cannot wait to see the posts that follow that trip!!

Been to Round Top a couple of times. My advice is to skip the actual Round Top show (overpriced) and head to the fields in Warrenton - this is actually what everyone means when they say "Round Top." You could spend days trolling the fields, looking for treasures, making deals. You will love it! Hope you have great weather, and enjoy TX! If you're able to also get up to the Canton Trade Days, I highly recommend it - much better prices than anything in Round Top.

Can't wait to meet you both. We'll be hooting & hollering and arm-wrestling over our treasures!!!!
The last 2 times I've gone, I've bought suitcases while in TX.
