Barbara from Oodles and Oodles suggested this weeks challenge. May and June are graduation season and the timing is perfect. I am quite familiar with graduations as I have had a couple of high school graduates of my own the past few years (Ben in 2010 and Kate in 2012). I have a year off this year, but if all goes according to plan Ben will be graduating from college next June...they just keep coming!
I don't actively collect in this area, but it was definitely easy to gather enough to make a challenge post.
Vintage wrapping paper for graduation.
They made graduation themed spun heads! I like their little pipe cleaner diplomas.
In my silhouette collection live a couple of place cards from a long ago graduation. Congrats to Allan and Edward!
In addition to the place card party decorations, I also have a couple of handmade mortarboard decorations with tiny diplomas glued on the front. The old graduation program is from a local school dated 1947.
I have a good stash of vintage graduation cards.
I love the messages of encouragement and optimism for the future.
Such an exciting time in a young person's life.
A great challenge for the season. Thanks Barbara! If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of_____."
Congratulations new graduates...go out and find your path in life!
I'm still trying to think of a collection challenge for.Cute collection. It is their time of their lives!Darling cards, love the vintage wrapping paper too.I have not seen one spunhead like the single ones you have!I have some but they're connected to chenille or they're package tie-ons.I think they all gravitated towards you somehow!!
Thanks for sharing!

Love the cute cards and spun heads!
Gee, I wonder which of Edward's many graduations this place card was for?
(Sorry, "Twilight" reference there)

One of these weeks someone is going to stump you! : ) I love the spun cotton guys and your little people! And all the owl themed items are great too! So smart looking all the time.

Loved this challenge Laurie! Our daughter is graduating college on Saturday, and we're so excited and proud!
I was too lazy to look on your sidebar there to see if you've already done one, so I'll just ask: How about a challenge featuring vintage garden stuff?

Such a fun collection! I have a small collection of cake decoration graduates...on second thought maybe they are all the ones I've saved from our girls!

Nice collection and I like the encouraging words in the cards, too. There should be special cards to congratulate the PARENTS of the graduates - haha!

Nice little collection. My twin boys are graduating this June. I'm afraid all their decorations will not be vintage.

Very fun! Everything was so much cuter back then. I like how "Phyllis" signed her name on the cap tassle!

I enjoyed seeing your graduaton collection. Did you make those precious little graduation people? They are so cute.
Also, do you have a Mother's Day collection of things?
Happy Mother's Day to you!
