I just picked up a new cowboy the other day. I don't know what it is about cowboys. I think it was the bowlegged stance of this fellow.
Time to rustle up rest of my cowboy collection for this post! The majority of my cowboys are small and they live in my cabinet of curiousities.
A little spun head cowboy complete with chaps.
IF you are a spun head cowboy it is only natural to need a pipe cleaner horse.
Love this little celluloid head cowboy with his lasso.
Even the random plastic cowboy has come to live with me.
This little metal holster and gun was a long ago find. It has Roy Rogers engraved across the holster. Dang cute.
Random vintage cowboy doo-dads. A tiny leather holster. A tab pin for a rodeo stunt rider. A plastic cowboy.
I took all the above random pieces and display them together in my cabinet. I wired on a tiny magnet to hold the pieces onto the metal cap in the background.
Vintage cowboy and indian birthday candle holders. They look to be in battle if they were on top of a cake. Rifles and bows and arrows look ready to be put into action.
This little fellow is one of my favorite cowboy graphics.
Vintage cowboy playing cards. I included the photo cards for Erling Bjarko. With that cowboy hat and horse I think he is a cowboy wannabee and this his his fifteen minutes of cowboy fame.
Super cowboy graphics on this Trail Drive deck of cards.
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge leave me a comment and finish the sentence, "Show me your collection of ____". You never know what will mosey into my post each week.
Yehaw! Cowboy fun.
It's about time Erling Bjarko got his 15 minutes!
Yeehaw!!!!!

Great cowboy collection! Your posts just make me smile :-) I would have never thought that cowboys would do that to me LOL. Just the way you used those vintage blocks to spell Cowboy is too cute! The chenille and celluloid head cowboys are my favorite! I've never seen vintage cowboy party hats or the candle holders! Bet those were pretty nifty back when for some lucky little boy (or girl).
Love having my coffee with you :-)

Josie's cowgirl party was one of my favorite themes. Your collection would have been right at home. Those vintage party candle holders are awesome!

Cute collection. I have the sane trail drive cards in my collage stash-- my box is beat up too. Must have been a fun game. The little girl on the coloring/paint book looks like she is going to bounce right off!!

I love all these. Maybe because I come from a town that has an annual rodeo. LOL! I might have to start me a new collection as they are just too cute!

Ha! Great collection Laurie! Love those first spun-head and celluloid guys. This collection reminds me so much of photos of me as a child; we would go to the Calgary Stampede nearly every year, and there I was - a "tomboy" in my finest cowboy gear. No frills for this gal in the 60's....

I grew up with a cowboy brother! Rootin' tootin' for sure! We had all the cowboy toys, rememer Johnny West? and than when we moved to the country he became a real cowboy, even did rodeo. For me, all the cowboy things just make me think of my brother. I adore your posts!

Cute! But you forgot to show those cute cowboy themed napkins that you found last year! Aren't you so happy that I can remember the most random things like what other people find but can't remember where I put my car keys?
Have an awesome day!
