Debbie (no blog) asked if I had a collection of vintage bookends. Bookends aren't something I pick up super often, but I have enough for a post. A small collection. Mine are all estate sale found.
A pair of darling Dutch children. They are marked made in Japan on the bottom. They are even cuter when they don't have books between them and are about to share a little kiss.
Adorable with a capital "A". This pair of bookends featuring birds are in great condition and still have the original price tag of $5.49. They also have the original Norcrest sticker on the bottom.
This cute little deer bookend is solo. He still works despite not being a pair.
Two little reading children. Marked made in Japan.
Super great details on this pair.
I like the crazing with age.
Thanks for the suggestion Debbie. A cute, but small collection. If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a note and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____". Heading towards 200 challenge posts!
Hanna has decided that she wants to start collecting book ends. I bought her the cutest deer set for Christmas. Have you seen that booth at Monticello with all of them? I am definitely going to have to pick her up a new pair next time I go. I'm such a good sister :-)

I think this is one of my favorite collections you have shown, especially the deer and the birdies. They are just the best!

What a cute collection. I just love the bluebirds! The little girl and boy are darling too. I haven't seen too many vintage bookends especially a pair of them.
Wow almost 200! That's amazing too.Looks like we're getting some rain down this way finally!

What a charming collection. They really are pretty special. They are in wonderful condition too. I never see vintage bookends at estate sales.
PS. Another day home from school. Even my University is closed with the extreme snow and negative temps. Crazy.

It sounds like I'm getting a new set of bookends, see what happens what I read comments, no surprises! I was just going to say, I love this little collection. I'm so desperate for a vintage fix that I'm watching a bunch of bookends on Ebay right now and I'm sure will get weak and buy a set. I kind of like when I find a single bookend, they need homes too, right?
Happy Tuesday!
