If I had stopped at sales along the way I would not have had enough left for the trip. Good thing you budgeted well because I really like what you found. I too would have stopped at sales on the trip. It's the hunt that makes it fun. Good for you.

Wow! You sure have great opportunities for finding wonderful treasures. Love the old Halloween, Christmas and Easter goodies... I think you need to buy a truck for the hauls you bring home! Have a wonderful trip!

Melissa's Antiques

Great finds! Can't wait to see what else you guys brought home. I almost bought that exact tin tray with the chef on it at the church sale I went to this weekend, but it had a burn mark on it that didn't want to come off!

Musings from Kim K.

Only YOU would find some amazing sales before you even left for your junking adventures. I can't wait to see what else came home. I agree with Maureen. I think you need a truck.

WOWZA~~terrific start to a road trip! I orginally thought "BEST LAID PLANS" would have the story start with car trouble-illness-or some other calamidy. Sometimes luck just sits on our shoulder~yes? LOVE the Shiny Brites! awesome ornis!! LOVE the sailor the best
Can't wait to see the goodness from the rest of the road trip plus Junk Bonanza. Wishing your luck remains on your shoulder :-)

Hanna

The cement yard mushroom would have definitely come home with me. A long day that was soo worth it.

Safe travels!

You are my lucky charm, Ethel!

Diane

You can't even get out of town w/o finding stuff! How fun! Love that witch.

Liz

I wondered if you would be at Alameda while I was walking around on Sunday. In the 5 years I have been going this was the very best sale day I have ever seen.

Kathy

Too funny that you were late leaving town because you couldn't stop finding great junk right here in River City. Love that Shiny Bright with the sailor boys. Can't wait to see the rest of the loot and hear all about BOTH trips!

Danielle @ Blessed Serendipity

Good junk haul! Love the witch on the broomstick. Have fun on your trip!

If the rest of your trip is like the beginning you must have had a very full car!! I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet you at Alameda!

Eddie Mitchell

I did that one time. We were leaving to go to Nashville to see a concert and had planned to stay overnight and do some junking the next day down there. We had to run a couple of errands before we left and stumbled across a large community sale in a parking lot. Our stuff for the trip was already in the car, but we had to drive back home (across town) to drop everything I bought off.

Tammy

Oh for goodness sakes! Now you tell me! Laurie, I live 18 miles from Canterbury where they have Junk Bonanza! What day are you going to be here? Please email your arrival and if you want to meet I'll be tickled pink!

Doreen

Soooooo what did you take down to Alameda with you? A U-haul truck? For real....what car did you guys take down there?
How much fun was that to start out your junking trip like that! You always seem to do well in the seasonal stuff. Can't wait to see what other goodies you found :-)

Maria (Magia Mia)

Wow! My kinda girls. Going where the wind takes you. I like it....:)

Have fun at Bonanza!
