Another off the wall collection here. After yesterday's post on some of my Easter decorations, I decided the little cardboard candy box hats would make a good challenge.
I don't find these hat boxes often. The lids come off and candy would have come in the box. I think they once held chocolates.
They always seem to have a decorative paper covering as well as a flower decoration. They vary in size a bit.
A fun little item to mix in with my Easter decorations.
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____." Fun holiday post!
I've never EVER seen Easter candy boxes like those. Absolutely perfect for your holiday displays.

How unusual but yet spot on for an Easter candy box back in the day! Remember when hats were as important to your outfit as patent leather shoes were to little girl's Easter clothes?
I really like how you incorporated them in your decorations in stacking-brillant! Love the layers you created with them and cake plates yesterday to display your Easter decorations!

Another thing that I've never seen before except for on your blog.....your blog is an educational tool for all of us junkers! Love how you use them in your display. Happy Easter Laurie!

I really love your Easter decorating and collections! Nothing cuter than bunnies, chicks, Easter eggs and now vintage candy box hats!
I've never seen any of those hats except for the ones you have.
Thanks for sharing :-)

Do you ever see the Fanny Farmer Candy containers? I have a couple from my mother (wax pumpkins and Pilgrim hats), but I know there were more. They were popular in the 1950's when I was growing up, but I think Fanny Farmer might have been an east coast candy store. I never see them in my travels in Texas.

Those are super unique! I'm not sure I would know what they were if I came across them. It would be fun to find some in patriotic colors to use during the Summer.

Cute Easter hats, don't think I have ever come across any of those. I like the way you put your Gurley candles in little baskets. Thats a good idea. Mine are just lined up all boring so I may have to try that!

Just like everyone else said - I've never come across any of these either. They are so cute! I love any kind of chocolate box, but these are extra "sweet"!

They kind of make me think of Derby hats. I would use them in a Derby display if I had any. Too cute!

I thought you'd made them when they appeared in your previous post. Never seen anything like them!

I know this was about the boxes, and I love them, but those flower candles are just the best. (I swear different candles went to different parts of the country! Except for the pilgrims, of course. And the choir boys.)
