I hit one sale yesterday and two today. I was not expecting much with it being a holiday weekend, but I still did well.
A couple of old Gurley Halloween jack-o-lantern candles, a fun shoe shine box and a large bottlebrush tree.
A village of putz style holiday houses.
A couple of old felt holiday stockings.
A Rempel rabbit (say that ten times fast) and a tiny kitty. The kitty will head to my holiday crafting box.
A couple of squeaky toys and a bunch of gold holiday picks.
I bought a random bag of party stuff. I was thrilled to find some vintage silk American flags and some Dennison four leaf clovers. The two holiday drums were in a box with assorted Christmas ornaments.
This balloon bag was in with the above goodies and was a super bonus. I am in love with the little blue bird tweeting "Always ask for Blue Bird". The balloons are past their prime, but I am keeping this sweet little item..original price 10 cents.
Loose mercury glass garland beads and some "Made in Japan" netting butterflies.
Some assorted holiday ornaments including 6 strands of mercury glass garland. I sure get lucky finding that garland. One lone ceramic angel.
Decent weekend finds. I sure love estate sale land..new treasures each and every sale!
What a fun batch! The drums are my favorite I think!
Have a great weekend!

I'd say you did real well! We didn't hit any sales this weekend so I'm living through your posts! Good score with the random party stuff. Like the squeaky toys of course. Love the bottle brush tree. Got my fix through you this weekend :-)Thank You!!

I have not found one drop of vintage Christmas yet this yard sale season. But, you find it every week. That is wonderful! Lara and I went to a Vintage Market today and we saw a huge wicker SWAN baby cradle and thought of you! It was amazing!

You are the Queen of finding putz houses! You must have a putz house magnet!! In between yard work today, I think I need to start looking over my patriotic decorations. I'm loving your drums!

Those drums are the best! What a perfect time of year for you to find them too. Glad you found some good stuff. We worked it the yard, but got a lot done so I can't complain about missing any sales. Back to it this morning!
Have a great weekend,
Erica

I'm starting to think you really don't find this stuff at estate sales-- I never do!! Just kidding! Love those drums and Gurleys.

I can already picture those drums in your 4th of July decor. Great score!

The little drums are so cute....just in time for 4th of July. Many things you find are for crafting or adding to your collections but I am curious what you do with a shoe shine box. They do take up room.......

Wonderful finds Laurie! Lots of awesome fodder for more of your great creations. I can just see those patriotic items popping up in late June! ;)

Jealous! (As always.) I always think New England is surely the place for antique and things, you know, because of it's history compared with the rest of the country...but man, for mid-century vintage, your neck of the woods is the place to be! The estate sales around here are never that good! No matter how early I go! Humpf! :)
