I hit one sale yesterday and two today. I love estate sale land and am so glad the season is starting up again! None of the sales were amazing, but I still managed to find some fun things at each one.
(Please ignore the wonky photo. My 50 year old picnic table that was my grandfather's is finally rotting out. The cattywampus angle is due to a very broken leg)
One of my most unusual finds this week was this CARDBOARD child's cabinet. I believe it came unassembled as there are marked slots to help someone put it together. I have never seen one like this before.
An old Chinese Checkers set with the original box and marbles. I also found a pair of Holt Howard cats and a sweet little set of deer.
I was semi lucky with a few things in the holiday department. A Santa mug with jeweled eyes, a lone pincecone elf, jingle bells on original cards, heart picks, ornaments, paper pulp bell (Western Germany), tinsel reflectors and lots of tiny ornanents.
A darling big eyed skunk, a recipe box and an old Crosswords game with fun letter game pieces.
I could not pass by a silly FROSH hat.
Some tinsel Christmas picks/plastic floral in a vase (for a dime) and a cute paper deer cutout.
A great Humpty Dumpty, a floral candy tin and a super duper USA trash can. I also got a bunch of cardboard boxes to craft with. I have been to Michaels TWICE in the past week to buy a couple. Once the registers were down and the other time they were out of stock. I guess it was meant to be to find them at an estate sale!
My daughter Kate, loves vintage things with maps and has claimed the trash can. It was in the garage with a bunch of tools in it. The garage is often where you find gold!
This felt snowman has seen better days but he will see a little Magpie Ethel love in the studio.
A little tomato pincushion (with attached striped tin) and a smiling little gal.
I got this spinach tin because of the red white and blue colors.
Last Sunday while driving home from some errands I saw a free pile in front of house. I plucked this old white tree from the pile. Tada..a Fourth of July tree! I just need to add some decorations.
A good day in estate sale land. Sunny skies, saw some junking friends and found fun stuff.
Fun stuff! I hit the wrong estate sales!

You lucky duck! I would be happy with 1/4 of what you found! Cute child's cabinet. I've never seen one like that either. The big eyed skunk and little ceramic girl are darling! What a find with the red, white and blue tin on top of a freebie tree to add to it. I have that exact Humpty Dumpty except the face is a little different. Great score for Kate.
Looks like a great start to Estate Sale Land for you :-)

Another good haul of treasures!! We walked/shopped 7.5 hours at Springfield (2,000 vendors) & I'd say we brought home about equal loads~how long does it take you to gather up your loot?
p.s. not one dang baby rattle!!! ;-(
really had my eyes darting all day for them

I can totally see the spinach can with your patriotic decorations. Loving those holiday picks too. Cool waste basket. Garage pickings are definitely some of the best pickings.

Memories! I had a whole "cardboard" kitchen growing up! All pink...a stove, refrigerator, kitchen sink, and an extra cupboard to store dishes. It wasn't a corner cupboard though....no design on it either. What wonderful finds!

Fun finds! I have a couple old Chinese checkers boards. Aren't they cool? Nice that it came with the marbles. Like the reindeer cut-out too! No sales around here this weekend.

That wastebasket is perfect for Kate! I always check the garage. It's amazing what people used to store nuts and bolts like old peanut butter jars, pretty floral tins, kitchen canisters. I've found them all out there. Even Pyrex!
Hope you find more this weekend!

That little hutch might have been meant for a child but I simply adore it. I have never seen one before and have to wonder if there were other pieces in the line. Might have to do some Googling on that!

I love that cabinet!!! You find the best stuff! What a great load of treasures! I love to look in garages too! I found one of my favorite pieces of McCoy in my father-in-laws garage. It was filthy and full of screws, but it cleaned up great!!

I think my favorite thing is the little family of deer. Aren't those santa mugs with the jewel eyes the CREEPIEST thing ever?

Love that cardboard cupboard! It reminds me of the hutch that creative breathing Elizabeth has! ♥

You know you're a good junker when you even find great stuff in the trash! It's been very slim pickings over here. Hoping for some good luck at the 4 estate sales and the flea market going on this weekend!
Happy Junking!
