Busy couple of days in vintage land. I hit one rummage sale, two estate sales and a small flea market. Not a landslide of finds but was still rewarded.
I got yet another vintage ironing board. This one has a great little metal shelf and is a cherry red. They make good display pieces at my shows. I also got the fun tiered wire rack that all my goodies are displayed on.
Some honeycomb balls, a rubber deer, some plastic clothespin hooks and a fun little wood niche.
An assortment of tin child's plates with fun graphics and a box of flashcard style words.
A tiny elf and some sputnik style Christmas ornaments.
2 boxes of silver tinsel and a box of blue angel hair. I really like it when I find the angel hair in pink or blue.
A unopened package of Valentine plates, honeycomb bells and a ceramic duck.
A bottle opener in the original box and some anodized aluminum cups. I can't figure out why they have the hole in the center unless they had some sort of insert. Blog readers?
Last but not least a campfire vest which I will take apart and use the beads for crafting.
Not a bad weekend, but it certainly pales in comparison to last weeks sale! Fun to be out in estate sale land...hope you found some treasures this weekend too.
Love the wooden niche! SO many options with that one! I wonder what the deal is with those holes in the cups??? There must be a good reason.
Fun stuff!

Anotehr fun weekend of fun finds!
The aluminum cups are sherbet glasses - they would have had glass inserts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Colored-Aluminum-and-Glass-Sherbert-Ice-Cream-Dishes-Bright-Colors-Mint/261475035364?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222006%26algo%3DSIC.FITP%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107083349%26meid%3D6816636885587105862%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D20140107083349%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D201080524780
I went to an auction today and watched an old wooden ironing board sell for almost $40.00 which is CRAZY. I just bought one for $3.00! That metal one is super cool.

I love that ironing board so much -- it's going to be a great prop to display your amazing craft projects. No matter what the sale is like, you always manage to find something -- just a little something -- to make the effort worthwhile.

Those sputnik ornaments are super duper cool! Chris and I drove waaaaay across town yesterday to a sale that was extremely overpriced and not even worth the gas money. Not a single thing came home with us. Darn!!

I have one of those ironing boards that I hung in my laundry room. They are so cute! Glad to see you found some stuff. It was so rainy and miserable here that even if there were good sales, I doubt I would have gone.
Happy Mothers Day!!

Wow! That's a great score esp with the ironing board and metal shelf! I've never seen an ironing board like that one before. I could just KICK myself for selling a wooden ironing board that was green last year at my sale!
Hit the Talent City Wide one down here and got a few things. Phil got some great deals since it was raining cats and dogs here along!!!
Nice day today though :-)
Happy Mother's Day!!

I didn't get out for any junking this weekend so I'm happy I get to live vicariously through you! That elf and the little deer in the niche are great. I have recently (thanks to Pinterest) become fascinated with fairy gardens and elves, fairies and pixies all live in the same world inside my head.
Where the heck did you find a flea market??

Way cool ironing board! Love it!
I went to an auction on my side of town Friday night and walked out empty handed before it ended. Prices were much higher than I thought they might be - lots of dealers. I'll go back and give it another chance, though. I'll echo Kathy and ask where you found a flea market, esp on such a rainy day!

I'm adding a wooden ironing board to my search list! :-)
I have a couple of religious statues that would look wonderful in that niche!

Great finds! Looks like you're missing the bottoms to aluminum sundae containers. They usually had a plastic or glass insert. Here's a link to one on ebay: http://goo.gl/Pl3LUa.
