I found some fun stuff at the Farm Chicks show this year. I never go to a show expecting to come home with a full car of stuff. I am spoiled by estate sales and their prices. A show is a vacation for me...the stuff I find are my souvenirs of that event.
I found a swim cap for my collection...for my "someday" beach house. It is cute as it has a bow on the top.
And of course I found other stuff.
The F L A G letters have already become part of my Fourth of July display this year.
I cleared out one vendor when I bought 18 kewpie dolls. They will be crafted with.
A vintage plastic deer and two pink ceramic deer.
This is the same type of snowman head that I found in Round Top last year. There are two of them...one inside the other.
A bag of pink honeycomb umbrellas and a church pamphlet container (I liked the graphics...Coming Soon! I am not of the Penecostal Evangal faith).
A big red, white and blue welcome sign. It is already part of my Fourth of July display. The old horn is weathered and I am not exactly sure where it will end up.
A chippy red and white can opener that I thought would be a fun flag holder. I really had patriotic red, white and blue on my mind as I shopped. The plastic bird is red on one side and blue on the other. The bugle call book will find a home with my Fourth of July stuff as well. The cricket box I just thought was quirky and would be fun to work into some sort of display.
Silly purchase, but this waxed dixie cup is a bait container with fun graphics.
I love the cover on this old record. Hoping to hang it on the wall of my "someday" beach house.
There were 7 yards of this fun trim that came home with me. I know I will find some project for it.
Last but not least this great Stanley Tools safety sign.
It is two sided and I have the perfect spot to hang it in my family room. It will be outside of Tom's workshop.
Fun shopping and quirky finds. I sure enjoy the Farm Chicks show. I just never know what will come home with me.
Another swim cap! Yippee!! I spy lots of crafting potential with all your fun treasures. Those FLAG initials are wonderful. Can't wait to see your patriotic display all set up this year.

Love how you describe what you buy at shows as souvenirs! That is so true :-)
How funny that you found another snowman like the one you hauled back from Round Top. Quirkiness just seems to follow you around, huh?
Can't wait to see your 4th of July decorations. I am getting mine out next week. It sure is sneaking up quickly, isn't it?
Have an awesome day~!

How much do I love that 'Lonesome Octopus' record (a lot) and the safety chart! You really do find the quirkiest things. If you ever opened a store, I would stand in line all night for opening day. :)

What a great bunch o' stuff!! I can't even decide what I like best. I bet you would have brought home more of the honeycomb umbrellas if you could have. Looking forward to seeing this years' 4th display.

The pleated trim is wild. I can't wait to see how you craft with it. Your 4th of July display is expanding daily. It should be exceptional. I loved you in the swim cap. Glad you had a great time.

You better get cracking on that "someday" beach house - it's filling up nicely!
Love the old safety sign - I framed up a bunch of old safety posters and they are so funny.
I found a slew of Kewpies in my stash the other day that I totally forgot I had. Glad you rescued all that you did!

Well aren't you adorable in your swim cap. I actually remember my mom wearing one of those. Too bad she doesn't still have it. You found some fun treasures.

Display tip - My swim cap collection serves a dual purpose as toilet paper roll covers.

I think the chippy old horn would look great displayed with the bugle book. Love that pleated trim and honey comb parasols are going to be so perfect for your crafting. Great finds!!

Wonderful finds - I was thinking that horn would be a great Fall decor piece "Horn of Plenty"...
Of course it would be no surprise to you that I would choose the deer as my favorites; followed closely by those honeycomb parasols!
Such a great haul for more crafting magic!

That pleated trim is cute. I'm sure you see lots of potential. Like those animal puzzle pieces too.

That horn looks kind of like an ear trumpet. Totally totally in love with that octopus comic/record. If you ever have a chance/reason/excuse to do so, I would love to see more of it!
