Evidently Eddie of Eddie-torial Comments has been wracking his brain for quite awhile for a challenge for me. When he saw the Big Little Books lined up in one of the photos of my family room yesterday, he wanted to see more.
Here you go Eddie. A small collection with some interesting titles. A trip down memory lane. These are all tiny books, roughly 4x5 in size.
Copyright 1969, hardcover. I remember watching the Lone Ranger on tv.
I have never heard of this series/books so I have no clue who this cute little Blip is!
Of course I know the Flinstones quite well. I loved Fred and Wilma and can probably rattle the theme song off. Copyright 1968, hardcover.
A couple of Donald Duck books of different eras. The one on the left is hardcover and larger and is dated 1948. The one on the right is softcover and is dated 1973.
And last but not least, dated 1949, hardcover.
Thanks Eddie, for the suggestion. A fun little collection. If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ___".
And lets see if you can remember all the words...
Yabadabadoo and Happy Day!
That was a fun trip down memory lane! I LOVED the Flintstones. Bewitched, Scooby-Doo and the Brady Bunch were also faves on TV. Happy Tuesday! karen...

Thanks for the grin! One of my co-workers likes to shout "Yabadaba-do, it's quitin' time" at the end of the day.

I have a few of those too-- even have the same Donald Duck (Volcano) book. I kind of remember Space Ghost; it was one of those Saturday morning cartoons, probably early 70s.

A collection that you and Maddie have in common! I wonder if she has these books? I'll just have to ask her. I swear she has a photographic memory.
Stay cool today, friend. I know how much you love the heat :-)

I'm loving that wooden box with the "Come in and get all the facts quote". Another fun collection.

I watched all of those shows as a kid. It was the Roy Rogers show that convinced me I should be a cowgirl like Dale Evans when I grew up. I live in Wisconsin. That so wasn't going to happen. Thanks for the memories.

The Flintstones was one of my favorite cartoons. Even as a kid, I always wondered why they always wore the same outfits.

I now have the theme song running through my head and a smile on my face. Thanks Laurie, I can always count on you to make a slow day at work better.

Ya Ba da ba doo! I love the Flintstones! Not to mention, I have the same first name as Barney's wife! I loved the way he used his foot as the brake. Always wondered if I could do that with my bike...I wore out the rubber on many sneakers trying!

I've sold several Big Little Books lately and just found a Woody Woodpecker's Meteor Menace last weekend. I did a post on them a couple of years ago. I've never seen the titles you have, though. Great collection!!!
